ASPHALT CONTENT TEST APPARATUS :-

(AS PER ASTM D6307)

AIM:-
This test method covers the determination of asphalt content of hot-mix asphalt (HMA)
paving mixtures and pavement samples by removing the asphalt cement at 540°C by ignition
in a furnace as per ASTM D6307.

SALIENT FEATURES:-
 The Asphalt Content/Binder Furnace with internal automatic balance is an
environmentally-friendly and cost-effective method for the accurate determination
of asphalt content.
 Ignition method reduces testing time compared to solvent testing methods and
automatic operation frees technicians for other tasks.
 High precision apparatus combining a ignition oven to a continuous weighing system
to monitor the weight decrease of the asphalt sample and automatically, to
determine, at the test end, the binder content and percentage .
 Full automatic test cycle with simultaneous display o f all test parameters, including
weight loss and % High efficiency heating system .
 Accurate internal balance monitors weights automatically throughout ign ition.
 Easy operational procedure - Simply enters sample weight, calibration factor, load
the sample, and push start button. When unit beeps at test end, push stop and sign
receipt.
 Ignition Furnace Complies with ASTM D6307 -98.
 Programmable Logic controller One only CPU card controls both test data display,
temperature, database and internal functions .
 Supplied complete with one sample tray, fork to catch pan, cooling cage Data stored
system Operational manual
