Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA)

Differential Thermo Gravimetric Analyzer for checking weight loss with

respect to rise in temperature for raw material and finished product. TGA analysis will
exactly point out decomposition temperature of individual raw material used in
formulation and same can be extended to finished product analysis.
Principle :- The thermal analysis of Finished Product & Raw Material through DTG
60A is based upon Weight Loss of the sample with respect to increase in temperature at a
constant rate in a different atmosphere (Zero Air/ Nitrogen etc.).
Equipments required : - DTG 60A (Simultaneous DTA TG Apparatus) Thermal
Analyzer (TA-60 WS) unit, Gas Flow Meter (FC-60A) unit, Gas Flow control station,
Gas Cylinders - Nitrogen & Zero Air, Aluminum / Platinum pans Personal Computer and
Printer.
Operating Conditions
1. Sample weight - 1 - 50 mg max.
2. Gas flow - 50 ml/min Gas flow type - Nitrogen or Air depending upon the
material under test
3. Temperature rise - 10C/min (or as required)
4. Max test temperature - 1100C for Platinum Pan & 600C for Aluminium
