Operating instructions safety unit LC 2005

The safety unit LC 2005 conduces to the monitoring of the safety loop of lift installations. It is
intrinsically safe according to AK 3 CEN prEN 13243. The loop circuit will be monitored regarding
interruption, short circuit and earth leakage. An integrated frequency monitoring makes sure, that
the maximum allowable engine speed cannot be crossed.

Switching on the unit an automatic self test is started, that replicates the modes loop resistant too
high, to low and earth leakage. After a successful self test the real loop is switched on on the unit
and the control exit will be released. All operating modes are displayed by illuminating diodes and a
figure display. With the buttons S1-S4 all faults can be replicated. If the frequency monitoring
responses, the interlock is remained until the main switch is switched off.

ATTENTION! The safety unit must daily be tested with the buttons S1-S4 before the first
transport of passengers.

ATTENTION! The terminating impedance must be installed in the most distant button.
