BOHO CHIC

Boho-chic is a style of fashion inspired by bohemian and hippie influences. It originated in

the UK but it is now popular in Nort America, Australia and in whole Europe. Elements of
this style began to appear in the 1960s and in 1990 it was officialy named boho chic. although
appearing to wane from time to time, has repeatedly re-surfaced in different ways. Name
boho chic came from a word boho which is a shortened form of bohemian and a word chic
which was borrowed from french and means stylish or elegant. A loto f people describe boho
chic as hippie retro style.
Original Bohemians lived in central Europe. They were individuals who appeared to be
diferent. Bohemian is someone who has the ability to appreciate beauty on a deep level, is a
profound romantic, doesn't know any limits, whose world is their own creation. Thez are mostlz
interessted in drawing, dancing, singging and in other forms of art. People who dress this way
mostly listen to relaxing music.
Sienna Miller is a famous actres and model who is resposeble for making Boho chic popular. She
dressed acording to this style. People loved it and it quickly became a trend. Kate Moss and
Lindsay Lohan are also responsable for popularity of boho chic. By the spring of 2005, boho was
almost ubiquitous in parts of London and was invading stores in almost every British high street.
Even tho a loto f people loved this style some hated it and said tht it was reallz basic. People who
dress Boho chic are mostly white middle-aged women. They usually wear "floaty" skirts
preferably long white ones , embroidered dresses, cropped jackets, large faux-coin belts, UGG
and cowboy boots, baggy cardigans, hats and hobo bags.
