How to Size a Column in HYSYS

HYSYS, and its updated version UniSim, is a software tool that helps users simulate
conditions that could be found within chemical plants and oil refineries to create safer
environments for workers. Using this system, you can simulate gas and liquid columns to get
a better understanding of how they might behave. When using this program, you can create a
custom column size for the material you wish to analyze in the system.

Open the HYSYS program and open the case study you want to use. Click on
the green "Calculation" button to turn it on. Click on the "Tools" menu option
followed by the "Utilities" option and click on the "Add Tray" utility to setup
your column size.

Click on "Select TS" to view a list of available columns. Click on the column
you want to size and then click on the "Main TS Object" option. Click "OK"
to choose this column. When you return to the main screen, click on the "Add
Section" option.

Click on "Design Specs," hen hit the "F1" key on your keyboard. This will
bring up the page for setting tray sizing specifications. Click on each type of
internals in this menu and select the option that fits the type of column you are
using. Select "Design Mode" for Item 8.

Click on "Performance Results" to see the results of the simulation with the
values you entered in Step 3. If the results are not what you expected, go back
to the tray sizing specifications page and change the values accordingly to get
different results from the "Performance Results" page.

We know Most of you Guys really Surf the Internet during the time of Freegate, Tor, Ultrasoft etc
using your Blackberry BIS Subscription, Now its here again but this time no Software or Application is
needed before you can Rock the Internet on your PC. Let's get Started.

Materials Needed
1. Your Blackberry Phone
2. Blackberry Desktop Manager Software
3. Tether Application
4. A USB Cable.

Do you have all the Needed Materials in Place? You can always Google Search to get any Online e.g
the Tether App and the Desktop Manager if you don't have it... Then Follow this Steps below to Get
things done.

STEPS NEEDED TO MAKE YOUR BIS WORK WITH BIS WITHOUT ANY SOFTWARE
1. Install your Blackberry Desktop Manager software to your computer as you have been installing all
other software, Skip this Step if you already have it Installed.

2. Install the Tether Application toyour Blackberry phone (What the App does is to powers your
Blackberry for a stable connection with your Desktop Manager).

3. Conenct your Blackberry Phone to your PC via the USB Cable, Now Open your Blackberry Desktop
Manager, Click on ?Internet Mobile? located at the bottom left. Now provide your normal service
provider?s information i.e like your APN and the rest, Then Save it.

4. Set your Browser e.g Mozilla, Chrome and Other Software to No Proxy, Thats all.

Note:- Make Sure you Configure the Tether App you Installed on your Phone with the Normal MTN
Settings.

Now connect and browse till your subscription expires? Thats it!!!
