Hello everyone.

Today I will lecture on Jesus who was God

and man.

First, we will look at various parts through the words

about Jesus who was God and man. If we look at those
parts, it’s truly amazing. Jesus was God and he was man.
That is why we call him God-man because he was God
and man; God-man. He was God and man. This is one of
those things which we don’t understand, but this is also
one of those very important things. He was God and man.
Through these things, until now, we have looked into
Jesus the man who put on the perfect body and took on
the body of man, and Jesus the Son of God.

In the previous lecture, I talked about the sinless Jesus

who was an actual man. If you look at those things, it’s
truly a blessing. I will briefly set those things in order.
Jesus was actually a man, but he didn’t belong to the
flesh. He had a body and he took on the humanity of
man, but he didn’t belong to the flesh. In other words, he
wasn’t dragged by the flesh, carnal ambition, or carnal
desires. He had humanity, but it doesn’t mean one needs
to have carnal desires to have humanity. How can you
tell? When Adam was initially created perfect, Adam was
a perfectly created man, but he wasn’t led by the flesh or
carnal desires. There’s the flesh, greed, every carnal thing,
and fleshly thing are from where? They’re from
committing sin, from the results of sin. They’re from
Satan. When God originally created man, man wasn’t
carnal, ambitious, or had a sinful nature. When God
created Adam, Adam was a perfectly created man. In the
condition of being a man, carnal desires were not
included. Carnal desires came from where? It came from
sin. Jesus who was born through the Holy Spirit without
sin didn’t have carnal desires. This is one part where
people get Jesus wrong. Many people think they can
become Jesus, become the Savior, and become the
Comforter, the Holy Spirit. They are deluded. They are
truly ignorant of the Bible. Satan had cleverly done that.
The first man Adam had the flesh, but he had no sin. He
was not under carnal desires. Because Jesus was
conceived through the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit worked
on Mary and he was a man that took on humanity, but he
was sinless. This is one of the most important parts when
speaking of the humanity of Jesus.

In James chapter 1, we will look at this and continue on,

let’s look at James chapter 1. It’s James chapter 1. It’s
right after Hebrews. James chapter 1 verse 13, “Let no
man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for
God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he
any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn
away of his own lust, and enticed.”It says here, “Let no
man say I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted
with evil.”God is not tempted with evil and He doesn’t
tempt any man. What does this tell us? The Lord was
tempted because he was man by nature. Jesus was not
tempted because he was led by lust. Man is tempted
because they are drawn away by their own lust. God
cannot be tempted with evil and He tempts no man. In
other words, Jesus put on the full humanity, but he wasn’t
influenced by corruption. He wasn’t influenced by sin at
all. Not only did he not sin, but he couldn’t sin. Let’s
arrange it like this. Adam was perfectly created and he
didn’t sin, but it wasn’t impossible for him to sin. Adam
could sin at any moment. That was Adam. Adam didn’t sin
and he was perfectly created, but it wasn’t impossible for
him to sin. Adam was a person who could sin at any
moment. So, the first man Adam actually did sin. He
sinned. But Jesus, the second Adam Jesus, is God; he is
God who has divinity. That is why it was possible for him
to not sin. He couldn’t sin. Because he was the Son of
God, it was impossible for him to sin. It was possible for
him to not sin and sinning itself was impossible for him.
Why? It’s because of his divinity. That is why Jesus is
called the God-man. He is God and man. He is God and
man, right? He is God and man. Because he was man, he
could be tempted. He was man who had a genuine
humanity, but because he was God, he was sinless. Thus,
he was free from sin, he couldn’t be corrupt, and he
couldn’t sin. That is the clear thing the Bible testifies of on
the divinity and humanity of Christ.

We just went through what I talked about during the

previous lecture. Now, Jesus was God, but he was also
man. As a man, Jesus was obedient to God the Father.
Jesus obeyed God. When I look at these things, this is also
about us. Jesus who put on the full humanity obeyed God.
As we see Jesus who obeyed, I thought that God is
pleased for us to live a life of obeying and submitting to
God by receiving that heart of Jesus Christ. Through
today’s lecture, not only did Jesus call God “Father”, but
Jesus Christ clearly said that God the Father was greater
than him. That speaks of the obedience of Christ to God.
If you look in John chapter 14 verse 28, “For my Father is
greater than I.”

He is the Son begotten by God the Father. “For God so

loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.”
Through this, it’s telling us of his life in obeying God. You
may have seen such words in Psalms and other places,
“Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”Through
that, in John chapter 6, “As the living Father hath sent me,
and I live by the Father.”The Father sent him and he lives
by the Father. This is how it was expressed. Let’s look in
John chapter 6. This is important. This doesn’t only speak
of his obedience to God, but it speaks and explains of
what comes after that. It’s John chapter6 verse 57.“As the
living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he
that eateth me, even he shall live by me.”It clearly tells us
here. Jesus is saying that God sent him and he lives by the
Father. He lives by God. Then we, too, live by God; we live
by Jesus, the Son of God, whom God sent. For God to
precisely teach this to us, even Jesus himself, “As the
living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he
that eateth me, even he shall live by me.”It means that we
will live by Jesus. As Jesus obeyed God, this part is what
God taught us.Right now, we are looking at the parts
where Jesus Christobeyed God the Father. Why is this
important? Jesus took the humanity of man and God
came in the body of man, but he gave full obedience to
God.It’s because as he lives by God the Father, he wanted
us to live by Jesus. The important thing here is, “And I live
by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by
me.”We live by Jesus.

Next, Jesus said, “The will of God which sent me, He who
sent me is with me.” So, there is someone who sent him.
“This commandment have I received of my Father.” Jesus
received the commandment from his Father in everything
he had to do. That is what he said.

Another thing in which Jesus obeyed God is, because we

have already opened to John, let’s look in John chapter 5
starting from verse 26. “For as the Father hath life in
himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in
himself; And hath given him authority to execute
judgment also, because he is the Son of man.”All authority
and life; even life was given by God. “And hath given him
authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son
of man.”Through Jesus clearly describing Him as God, the
life in the Father was given to him. That’s how it’s written,
right? “Hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself.”“For as the Father hath life in himself.”
That life was given to the Son to have the life in him and
he was also given authority to execute judgment. Jesus
who put on humanity gave full obedience to God.
Through this, we are being taught obedience and we are
being led to live for Him.

There is an amazing word here. It’s John chapter 5 verse

19, verse 19,why don’t we read it? John chapter 5 verse
19, “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily,
verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself,
but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever
he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.”“Verily,
verily, I say unto you.” When Jesus was emphasizing or
was saying something of utmost importance, his words
itself are truth, but he always says it twice. “Verily, verily.”
He also said that when you had to be born again. “Verily,
verily.”“The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he
seeth the Father do.” He can do nothing of himself. It’s
done through God. Then we also can’t do things on our
own, but we can do it through Jesus Christ. This is what
God wants to show us.“I speak to the world those things
which I have heard of him.” He didn’t do things on his
own. Many such things are in John. “I do nothing of
myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these
things.” In John chapter 14, Jesus said, “The words that I
speak unto you I speak not of myself.” The words of Jesus
were given by the Father. It is speaking to us through
various parts in the Bible that he is not speaking of
himself. The blessed thing about this is that we are not
people that can do things on our own. Even Jesus who put
on humanity, even God the Son can’t do things on his
own. He received from the Father. Because he put on
humanity, there was the full obedience of Jesus to
God.“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”Even
when he bore the cross, Jesus did not follow his will, but
he did it according to the will of God. If we look through
these parts one by one, Jesus spoke of what he received
from God and he had what came from God. He couldn’t
do anything on his own. He received everything from the
Father – authority, judgment, power, and even will. He
received everything from the Father and did it. Through
this, God is personally showing us that even we can’t do
things on our own and we have to live by Jesus.

So, “The Father dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” Let’s

look in John chapter 14. We will look at this as well. John
chapter 14 verse 10, “Believest thou not that I am in the
Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto
you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in
me, he doeth the works.“Jesus had the flesh, but
everything done in him was done by God. “The Father
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” God was inside of
Jesus and the works of God was done through the flesh of
Jesus. God was doing God’s works. We often hear in the
church that man does not do the work of God, but God
does it. However, the one working inside of Jesus wasn’t
Jesus. In other words, “The Father dwelleth in me, he
doeth the works.”If you look at this carefully, everything
done by Jesus was given by the Father and it’s God who
does the work in him. Jesus also said in John chapter 17,
“I have done the work which thou gavest me to do.”So, if
the one who did the work in us is not us, but the Father,
God the Father, we believe in Him and we can rest
through Him. Jesus is saying, “It’s not me that does it, but
God who does everything in me.”In the church, as we
learn God and as we learn faith, we heard these words
many times.“The one working in me is God.”Where does
this Word and spiritual life come from? It comes from
Jesus. Jesus who came in the flesh said, “Everything done
in me is done by God.”

All the kingdom of the Lord that was appointed to Jesus

was appointed to him by the Father. What else? The
disciples as well. It said, “The Father gave them to me.”
So, everything was given to the Father. In Luke, because
the Father appointed the kingdom to Jesus, it said that
Jesus appoints this to us as well. Let’s look in Luke. It’s
Luke. It’s Luke chapter 22 verse 29. “And I appoint unto
you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and
sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”“And I
appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed
unto me.” God appointed His kingdom to Jesus. Likewise,
“I appoint to you.” Everything was appointed to him by
the Father. Jesus was appointed things by God and he said
he appoints that to his disciples. Through this, the
relationship between the Father and Son, and that
everything is from the Father is clearly spoken of by the
Bible.
Next are the last days. It said in 1Corinthians chapter 15
that Jesus will deliver the kingdom to the Father in the
end. Why don’t we look in 1Corinthians chapter 15? It’s
1Corinthians chapter 15. The verse I just said earlier is in
verse 24. “Then cometh the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when
he shall have put down all rule and all authority and
power.”It said that he will deliver, right? In verse 28, “And
when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the
Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things
under him, that God may be all in all.”A very important
part is here. It said that Jesus will be subject to the Father
that God may be all in all. He put on humanity, but Jesus
gave full obedience to God. Through this, he obtained
everything in God and he gives everything to God. This is
the heart and faith that we, who have humanity, must
have.

Why don’t we now look at these in order? One of them is

in 1Corinthians chapter 11 verse 3. In 1Corinthians
chapter 11 verse 3, the relationship, or should we call
order, between man, Christ, and God is spoken of in
1Corinthians chapter 11 verse 3. I’ll read verse 3,
1Corinthians chapter 11 verse 3, “But I would have you
know.” What does he want you to know? “That the head
of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the
man; and the head of Christ is God.”It says here the head
of woman is man, the head of man is Christ, and the head
of Christ is God. That’s not what it said. What was said
first? The head of man is Christ. The man is first not the
woman, right? The head of man is Christ. The head of
woman is man. Man originally represents people. The
expression here that man is the head of woman is that
God made man the head of woman because woman
sinned and became corrupt. Man was the one who
originally manifested the glory of God. Man represents
the glory of God and was created in the glory of God. The
head of that man is Christ. But why is man the head of
woman? After eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of
good and evil, and by committing sin, man became the
head of woman. The head of Christ is God. Man is the
head of woman, Christ is the head of man, and God is the
head of Christ. This is what it’s telling us. God is the head
of Christ. He always had this. The head of Christ is God.As
we all know, the head thinks, right? The head decides and
commands everything. The important thing is that the
head of man is Christ. Our head is Christ. He is our head.
So, we receive the command, wisdom, and everything
from Christ. That is the head. Christ is my head. Jesus
Christ was also supplied with everything by the head and
that head, it said, is God.

Right now we are looking at what relationship Jesus, who

had humanity, have with God and how he lived. He gave
full obedience. One of the things Jesus did is leading us to
God and he said that is his work. He speaks of everything
that is connected to God. Jesus who had humanity
connected everything to God. One of them was leading us
to God. You saw that verse in Hebrews, right? “In bringing
many sons unto glory.” One of the things Jesus does is
leading many sons to enter into glory. Why? It’s because
the work of Jesus is to lead to God, to the Father. Jesus is
leading us even today. He is leading us. He is doing the
work of leading us to God. Through Jesus, we are
connected to God, led, and guided. It’s Jude, right?
There’s only one chapter in Jude. It’s just one chapter,
right? It’s Jude chapter 1 verse 24. This is a word of grace.
If you take a look, “Now unto him that is able to keep you
from falling, and to present you faultless before the
presence of his glory with exceeding joy.” Jesus protects
us, keeps us from falling, and presents us faultless before
the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Only Jesus
makes us to stand before God and leads us to God. If we
set this in order, Jesus did not stop with entering into
glory. Jesus resurrected and he received the glory, but he
did not stop with entering as the Lord of glory. He
continually does the work of taking us to God as well. To
keep us from falling, he protects us to keep us from falling
and he presents us faultless before the glory of God with
exceeding joy. These are such blessed words. Jesus
protects us, he presents us faultless, and keeps us from
falling. Jesus is the one who makes us stand before God in
exceeding joy.Jesus who had humanity didn’t only take
the glory, but he also does the work of taking us to God.

We looked through the Bible during this time how the

Lord Jesus Christ fully obeyed God the Father. This only
applies to the incarnated Lord. This isn’t a record of the
things that happened before he incarnated, before his
birth, or before he came in the flesh that he did this and
this. Jesus who incarnated and came to this world putting
on humanity lived a life of giving full obedience to God.
Through this, God was pleased that we also live a life of
obedience to Him. Through all these things, Jesus who put
on humanity became our example and led us to the
blessed path. Jesus is God and man. Through his blessed
words, through the full obedience of Jesus to God, we are
being led to be blessed. So, he who is God and man is
called God-man. This is what we are studying and through
this, I believe God will lead us to be blessed.

I will end here. Goodbye.
