EXERCISE 2. The following passage has adjective order mistakes.
Read it carefully and rewrite the sentences correctly.

Into the Mouth of the Volcano

In 1986 Kevin Johnson, an American, young, important man arrived at Sumatra, a big, beautiful island in
Indonesia, to climb one of the active, biggest volcanoes.
As soon as he got there he tried to find a good, qualified guide, but unfortunately, the only guide was out of
town. Although it was a dangerous, difficult climb, Kevin decided to go up alone. Before he left, Kevin said
good bye to Esther, the manager of the hotel where he was staying.
When he got to the top of the 9,000-foot volcano there was fog everywhere. While he was looking down 120
feet into the mouth of the volcano, he fell in and nearly killed himself.
Four days later, when her guest didn't return, Esther realized she had to do something. However, she didn't
know who to ask. Finally, she asked a skillful local shaman to help. The man communicated with spirits, who
told him where Kevin was. He said that, as well as broken bones, he had conflicting, negative spirits inside
him, too.
Eventually, the police found the injured, thin man and took him to the hospital.
