REFLECTION

Matthew 13:32

“Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a
tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

The parable of the sower is an 'allegory' about the Kingdom of God. In other words, it can be interpreted
to reveal a hidden meaning, everything in the story represents something else. It is a growth parable. The
man represents God and the seed is His message.

Matthew 17:20

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for
you.”

A lack of faith is simply not trusting God to keep His promises, believing He can do something, or believing
that He wants to bless us and direct our lives. Jesus uses the mustard seed to illustrate the kind of faith
we need because the tiny mustard seed grows into something much bigger than its original size. In other
words, our faith is meant to grow a lot.

These verses give us lessons that we must remember every day. This shows how even small it is, it
may come a time that it would be big and become useful on us. Just like our faith even it is small God is
always there for us no matter what happened. And also, just like our lesson nanoparticles. A nanoparticle
is a small particle that ranges between 1 to 100 nanometers in size. Undetectable by the human eye,
nanoparticles can exhibit significantly different physical and chemical properties to their larger material
counterparts. Nanoparticles are just small but very useful in comes to manufacturing different
technologies. Nanoparticles are now being used in the manufacture of scratchproof eyeglasses, crack-
resistant paints, anti-graffiti coatings for walls, transparent sunscreens, stain-repellent fabrics, self-
cleaning windows and ceramic coatings for solar cells. This just shows us that even small are very helpful
in any ways so we must not underestimate small things. We must appreciate it even how small it is.
