CASE PRESENTATION

52 year old male, doctor by profession, had few Gastrointestinal symptoms in early April 2020. They
settled in few days. In June 2020, anti body titres were carried out. IgM was negative, and IgG was
positive, suggesting exposure to Covid – 19. In August, his IgG levels were tested again in the hospital
setup, and levels were determined for the first time. His IgG was low, but positive, reconfirming old
exposure. Considering exposed and developed anti bodies, and no other clinical features, he continued
to work as usual.

On 4th December 2020, he developed rhinorrhea, excessive lacrimation, sneezing and cough.
Temperature was recorded upto 100 F. Since he was a known asthmatic, he immediately started
standard protocol for allergic athma. On 7 th December, his saturation started to fall, for which he
reported in emergency next morning.

Other than asthma, he does not have any past history of Diabetes, Hypertension, Smoking, surgery or
any other habituation. However, being on clinical side, his exposure to patients was strongly positive,
and the usual protection of mask and hand sanitization was always followed.
