August 2020 Seminar

Shifu Jonathan Bluestein is proud to introduce his mentor, colleague and friend –
Professor Stephen Jackowicz of the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut,
who would be visiting us here in Toronto during the month of
August. An accomplished and well-published scholar, Prof.
Jackowicz is the holder of two PhDs in Traditional Chinese
Medicine. He is also a master of several oriental martial arts. Being
capable of reading the ancient texts pertaining to our medicine in
both Korean and Chinese, and having taught professionally since
1997, Prof. Jackowicz stands out as one of the foremost experts in
the field in North America. Having been engaged in healing in
settings as diverse as private clinics, university clinics, hospitals
and remote villages, he brings with him an open spirit of
enthusiastic sharing, and an authentic understanding of the
medicine. Starting this year, Prof. Jackowicz would make himself available for a new series of
enthralling and fascinating seminars, for serious students and practitioners in North
American and across the world. Prof. Jackowicz would be in Toronto soon:

09:00 – 12:00
Medical Feng Shui
The ancient art of Feng Shui predates TCM, but uses the exact same theoretical and
philosophical framework. Unbeknownst to many, it is possible to use Feng Shui techniques in
the treatment room and in patients' houses, in order to enhance treatment effect and promote
health. Prof. Stephen is an expert on the topic and has given courses and seminars on it before.
Such knowledge and skills are exceedingly rare, even in China, yet immediately applicable in the
arsenal of any TCM practitioner. Prof. Jackowicz will demonstrate and prove how simple
Saturday changes in the physical environment of the treatment room, and the home of the patient, can
dramatically and positively affect results and help retain one’s clientele.
August 15th
13:00 – 16:00
Medical Qi Gong
Huo Long Zheng Jing Gong - Fire-Dragon Correcting the Channels Skill. This exceptional Qi Gong
method does not require prior experience, though it would be of benefit. It uses TCM theories to
teach anyone – from laypeople to experts, how to move the Qi through their channels in order
to undo stagnation and resolve various types of pathologies. It is a fun and engaging practice
which is useful for practitioners, students and patients alike. The method has many layers to it,
and Stephen would teach each participant according to his or her ability and understanding.
