This research, as a first part

of a larger project, offers a glimpse into the public's view on physician–
physician relationships and into certain aspects of professional physician behavior in a transitional
society that could have profound and long-lasting effects on the health care delivery process if not
properly analyzed and rectified. Further research is needed to elucidate our findings. Our future
intention is to investigate medical professionalism and physicians'
professional interpersonal relationships, taking into account the view of all important stakeholders
and ultimately elaborating possible strategies and interventions for its improvement, as well as
providing proof of an argument for the development of a medical professionalism curriculum.
