curves, Harmonic functions, Conjugate functions.

Conformal mapping
Transformations, Conformal mapping, Some general transformations, The bilinear
transformation, The Schwarz-Christoffel transformation

Complex Integration and Cauchy’s Theorem


Complex line integrals, Simply and multiply connected regions, Green’s theorem in the plane,
Cauchy’s integral theorem, Cauchy integral formula

Laurent series and residue theory


Convergence of a series of complex terms, Taylor’s theorem, Laurent’s theorem, Singular
points, Residues, The residue theorem,

Evaluation of integrals by contour integration


Contour integration, integrals involving sine and cosine functions, infinite integrals

Assessment: Continuous Assessment Tests: 40%


Final Examination: 60%
