C. We have allocated a room for Chemicals storage, please check the following:-
1. To see if the room is adequate for chemical store, if not, please list out all the extra requirements.

 Put exhaust fan

 Have each cabinet for each hazard class of chemical
 Adequate ventilation and ample water supply for thorough flushing of accidental spillage on
personnel and property should be installed

2. See which chemicals has to segregate from others and also see if those has to be stored in different
area. Please suggest a location and the type of storage that is required.

 For nitric acid, need to store separately in acid storage cabinet. Segregate oxidizing acid from
flammable liquid/gases, bases
 Sodium hydroxide, corrosive bases. Store in separate corrosive storage cabinet. Store the solution
of inorganic hydroxides in labeled polyethylene containers. Segregate from flammable liquid,
oxidizers, poisons and acid
 Hydrogen peroxide, oxidizing. Seal storage containers tightly to prevent accidental exposure.
Stored away from direct heat and combustible materials
 Ethanol is flammable. Store in cool dry place and away from direct sunlight
