Sources of Suply of Stores to MES

(a) Normally from the ord Dte GHQ, who is responsible for the provisioning and distribution of
all Engineer store to the Army, PAF

DP and Navy wings of the MES

(b)Purchase with the prior approval of Govt trom reputed firnms abroadd or

their representations in Pakistan through the execution ot supply &fix

in respect of such special type of equipment (AC.Crains Lifts ete)

(c)Purchase through the Rate Running contracts arranges by the DGP

(Army)

(C) Purchase direct from the Market by contract.

(d) Through Local Purchase

(e) Intenal Transfer in the MES between wings

Transfer from other department (Special Demand PAFO-2806)

Forecast of Store:

To ensure timely procurement of stores by the ordnance services, DW &CE arc

Submit to ordnance services directorate forecast requirement of store for the projects onc year

in advance to reach OS directorate/ Chief procurement officer (CPO) concerned by 30 Oct

each year through E-in-C branch. All items of forecast be grouped under sub-section of

standard demand list of Engineer store (SDLES) will be prepared separately showing SlDLES

number or ordnance vocabulary (OV) number where available NIV items will avoided as far as

possible

Some Important Points for Forecast-

(a) Forecast requirement do not constitute actual demands. These are rough

estimate of anticipated demands. Efforts must be made to remain ncarest to

the actual demands.

(B) MES will prepare forecast of stores required for all projects based on the

last three consumption. If the forecast requirements exceed the average

eonsumption of last three ycars. MES will give justification for the increase.

© Forecast requirements as above will be submitted by DW&CEs in


triplicate duly scrutinized by 30 Sep each year to E-in-Cs branch. One

copy of forecast will invariably be endorsed to the E-in-C branch.
