FrOM MEMbErS OF
THE POCKET TESTAMENT LEAGUE
Dear Friend,
We receive thousands of stories each month
from our Members, and many of these stories
include wonderful ideas for sharing the Gospel.
So we put together 101 of our favorites to
encourage you.
League Members are eager to share their faith and
give a Pocket Testament to the people they know
and those they meet. Through your hard work and
dedication, Gospels go into homes and hospitals,
prisons and correctional centers, medical offices,
business offices, malls and grocery stores. God has
opened many doors in North America and around
the world.
We pray these ideas will inspire you. We thank
God for the difference you are making in people’s
lives—a difference for today, tomorrow and
eternity.
In Him,

HISTORY OF THE LEAGUE
The Pocket Testament League began in 1893 as the
vision of a teenage girl named Helen Cadbury, daughter
of the president of Cadbury Chocolates. Her heart’s
desire was to share her faith, so she organized a group
of girls who sewed pockets onto their dresses to keep
a part of the Bible. The girls called their group “The
Pocket Testament League.” They pledged to read a
portion of the Bible every day and carry it with them in
their pocket. Each day, they asked God to show them
just one person to share the Gospel with.
Today, The League is an international ministry,
equipping Christ followers with pocket-sized Gospels
of John in many languages, such as English, Simplified
Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Italian, Japanese,
Spanish, German, Russian and Portuguese. The League
partners with local Bible societies for accurate Bible
translations, and ships printed publications from
several locations around the world. The League offers
dozens of cover designs, ranging from sports and
sunsets to horses and Harleys.
Order a month’s supply of Gospels at
www.ptl.org/gospels and pray that God would show
you a person each day to share with. Daily sharing
God’s Word is a God-sized adventure!

He never stood on a corner and gave
