Mentor # 1
My grandpa
Bekir Pasalic
He was a good mentor because he was funny,
responsible, caring, and had a strong will.
He used to take me to Lonsdale Quay via sky train and sea bus, since we used
to live close to king George station, it was very fun.
On this trips I learned many things.
What I Learned
• My dad taught me some dad stuff, such as how to hammer nails and use
tools, fish, and always seems to have answers to my numerous
questions. But the most important thing I learned is that being a dad
means to always be there to support your family and be there for them.
My dad is responsible for
molding my hobbies and
interests. He pushed me
to play hockey. He
pushed my to start
skiing. He got me to
enjoy sports and physical
activity, and I’m thankful
for it.
• Like many dads at first he did not want a dog.
But after a few months he ended up cherishing
out dog perhaps the most out of all of us. For
once I taught him something, since I wanted
him to give our dog a chance.
Mentor #3
My mom
My mom is a good mentor because she is intelligent,
Leila Pasalic opinionated, caring, and a hard-working person.
What I learned
others.
• Thanks to my mom I got to go on a few
amazing vacations, the one I remember the
most fondly is our trip to the Dominican
republic, which is where my parents went for
their honeymoon. Getting to see outside of
Canada has helped shape my worldview.
• My mom also taught me
to be a more social
person, since when I was
younger, I didn’t like
talking to people I didn’t
know.

• My mom is definitely the one most responsible for the
way I turned out, and I’m thankful for all she’s given me.
