Dear Governor:

Please accept this letter as notice of my resignation as Secretary of the Department of Business
and Professional Regulation, effective Friday, January 29, 2021.

In the past two months, I have been dealing with health issues, and it is in the best interest of
my health, my family, and the Department that I focus my full attention on getting well.

It has been a tremendous honor and privilege to serve in your administration. Thank you for the
opportunity. I am proud to have worked under your leadership to remove barriers to employment
and increase opportunity for Floridians. From “Deregathon” to passing the most comprehensive
regulatory reduction bill in recent history, I believe our efforts will have a significant and long-
lasting impact on our great state.

I look forward to seeing all the things you will accomplish in the remainder of your time as
Governor and beyond. I will always be your biggest fan and support you in all your endeavors.
