Usa- federal government , The federal government is composed of three distinct


branches: legislative, executive, and judicial, whose powers are vested by the U.S.
Constitution in the Congress, the president and the federal courts, respectively.

Russia- federal semi-presidential republic , According to the Constitution of Russia, the


President of Russia is head of state, and of a multi-party system with executive power
exercised by the government, headed by the Prime Minister, who is appointed by the
President with the parliament's approval. Legislative power is vested in the two houses
of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, while the President and the
government issue numerous legally binding by-laws.

China- communist state , The primary organs of state power are the National People's
Congress (NPC), the President, and the State Council. Members of the State Council
include the Premier, a variable number of Vice Premiers, five State Councilors (protocol
equal of vice premiers but with narrower portfolios), the Secretary-General, and now 26
ministers and other cabinet-level department heads. The Central Military Commission
(CMC) is headed by the Chairman, who is the commander-in-chief of the national
armed forces including the People's Liberation Army (PLA), the People's Armed Police
(PAP), and the Militia.

Japan- constitutional monarchy , where the Emperor's power is limited to mainly


ceremonial duties. The government has three branches: the executive, legislature, and
the judiciary. The Emperor is the Head of State and the imperial family. His position
does not influence the activities of the government in any way. The prime minister,
therefore, is the head of the Government. The Japanese constitution was adopted in
1947, and it has not been amended since it was enacted.

North korea- socialist state and a totalitarian dictatorship, The East Asian country has its
government structure fashioned on the Soviet model, where the primary principle is self-
reliance on its national resources. The government of North Korea subscribes to
communist ideologies under a dictatorship. The Constitution in use was adopted by the
country in 1998 and subsequently amended in 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2016. The
government of North Korea holds tight control over the country.

Spain- parliamentary constitutional monarchy, The head of government is the king, a


position which is hereditary. Daughters are allowed to inherit kingship only if the king
has no sons. The government is a devolved one with autonomous regions and regional
governments. Spain is divided into seventeen autonomous communities and two
autonomous cities. Though the regions have their local government, the state still
retains overall sovereignty. Before taking office, the king is supposed to take an oath of
office swearing that he will uphold the constitutions and perform his duties.

Philippines- unitary state , The government of the Philippines is made up of three


interdependent branches which are the legislative, the executive, and the judicial
system.
