Bard Level Challenge Rating


Some tell stories of wandering bards who share tales so
realistic, they feel like they are more than just a story. 6th 2 or lower
Bringing the characters in the fables they tell, inspiring 10th 3 or lower
wonder and altruism in all those who hear from their
collection of fables. 14th 4 or lower
Bards from the college of fables however, know this is 18th 5 or lower
more than just a story. Having mastered the art of
storytelling, bards from the college can turn the very ink of Happily Ever After
their fables into the characters they tell the musings of by
using a touch of fey magic. With animal-like companions, Starting at 14th level, your familiar can change your fate and
they are never alone to share their stories, adding a special save you from the grasp of death. If you would die due to
flair other storytellers wish they could provide by bringing the failing death saving throws and have a familiar summoned,
animals in the stories to life before the audience. you don't die and instead your familiar dies instantly and you
gain 1 hit point and 2 levels of exhaustion.

Also at 3rd level, you learn the find familiar spell and can cast "Into the Story" art created by Jason Rainville for
it without its material components. It counts as a bard spell Magic the Gathering
for you, but doesn't count against your number of spells
known.
When you cast the spell, you can choose one of the normal
forms for your familiar. However, this form is adjusted as
follows:
• You can use your bonus action to allow your familiar to
make an attack.
• Attacks made by your familiar count as magical for the
purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to
nonmagical attacks and damage.
• The creature's type is construct instead of celestial, fey, or
fiend.
• While within 10 feet of you, your familiar grants
advantage on Charisma (performance) checks for storytelling
and rolls made for your Bardic Inspiration and Song of Rest
feature adds your proficiency bonus to the result.
Wild's Gift
Starting a 6th level, you have learned how to alter your
familiar into different shapes by reciting passages from
various fables. As an action you can change your familiar into
a beast of challenge rating 2 or lower. However, the additional
changes from Fabled Companion remain and loses its
Multiattack action, if it has one.
The transformation lasts for 1 minute, or until your
familiar drops to 0 hit points or dies. Your familiar assumes
the Hit Points of its new form. When it reverts to its normal
form, it returns to the number of Hit Points it had before it
transformed. If it reverts as a result of dropping to 0 Hit
Points, any excess damage carries over to its normal form.
Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you
finish a short or long rest.
The challenge rating of beasts you can change your
familiar into changes when you reach certain levels in this
class.
