Group A: Write short notes on the following not exceeding 300 words. (5x6= 30 Marks)
1. The indemnifier becomes liable as soon as liability of indemnity holder becomes absolute.
Comment.
2. Define Pledge what are its essential ingredients? Who can create a valid Pledge?
3. Define bailment. When does a bailment come to an end? Explain
4. What is continuing guarantee? When and how is it revokes?
5. Explain the term ‘goods’ as defined in the Sale of Goods Act, 1930.

Group B: Each answer should not exceed 400 words (2x10= 20 Marks)
6. A and B purchased a Taxi to ply it in partnership. They plied the taxi for a year. When A,
without the consent of B, disposed of the Taxi B brought an action to recover his share in
self-proceeds’. A resisted B’s claim on the ground that the firm was not registered. Will B
succeed in his claim?
7. A found a watch on the road and had it repaired, paying Rs.20 as repair charge and then
pledged it for Rs.50.Can the real owner recover the watch from pledgee?

Group C: Answer should not be more than 600 words (10 Marks)
8. Explain the concept of Agency. When is an agent personally liable for the acts done by him
for his principal?
