On
The Public Holidays Calendar of Civil Servants, Employee, Workers for 2020

The Royal Government

- Having seen the Constitution of Cambodia;

- Having seen the Royal Decree No. NS/RKT/0918/925, dated 06 September 2018 on the
Nomination of the Royal Government of Cambodia;
- Having seen the Royal Code No. NS/RKM/0618/12, dated 28 June 2018 on the
promulgating Law of Organizing and Functioning of the Council of Ministers;
- Having seen the Royal Decree No. NS/RKT/0805/354, dated 05 August 2005 on
restructuring the Permanent National Committee for National and International Festival
to the National Committee for National and International Festival Preparation;
- Having seen the Sub Decree No. 21 OrNKr/BK, dated 30 April 1996 on the determination
of Working Hours Per Week of Civil Servant of Kingdom of Cambodia;
- Having seen the Sub Decree No. 25 OrNKr/BK, dated 23 Feb 2010 on the function of
General Secretariat of National Committee for National and International Festival
Preparation;
- Per written recommendations of Samdach Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime
Minister of Cambodia, dated 28 March 2019 on the Letter No. 1775 SHV, dated 15
March 2019 of Economic and Financial Policy Committee on the Deduction of Public
Holidays of Civil Servants, Employee, Workers from 2020 onward;
- Based on the request of Chairman of National Committee for National and International
Festival Preparation.

Hereby Decided

Article 1:
Shall allow civil servants, workers/employee of the Kingdom of Cambodia having public
holidays for 2020 as the following calendar:

- 01 January International New Year Day (1 day off)

- 07 January Victory over Genocide Day (1 day off)

- 08 March International Women’s Day (1 day off)

- 13-14-15-16 April Khmer New Year Day (4 days off)
- 01 May International Labor Day (1 day off)
- 06 May Visak Bochea Day (1 day off)
- 10 May Royal Plowing Ceremony Day (1 day off)
- 14 May King Norodom Sihamoni’s Birthday (1 days off)
- 18 June Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk’s Birthday (1 day off)
- 16-17-18 September Pchum Ben Day (3 days off)
- 24 September Constitutional Day (1 day off)
- 15 October Commemoration Day of Former King Norodom (1 day off)
- 29 October King Norodom Sihakmoni’s Coronation Day (1 day off)
- 30-31 Oct &01 Nov Water Festival Day (3 days off)
- 09 November Independent Day (1 day off)

Article 2:
For ministries and institutions that are having responsible for international relations shall
designate officer to standby permanently for performing the duty.

Article 3:
Any regulations contrary to this Sub Decree shall be null and void.

Article 4:
The Minister in charge of Council of Ministers, Minister of all Ministries and Institutions,
Municipal and Provincial Governors shall implement this sub decree from this signatory date.
