“To See” Mobile Application Overview

Our group decided to make a mobile application for our

prototype project. This will not only give the whole community social
changes but it will also give the person with disabilies, specifically
those blind people, a better lifestyle as our application aims to be a
big help for them.

The Application may be connected to any voice command

features available in their phones such as, Alexa, Siri or Google
Assistant. This application also uses the cameras of the phone. So
this is how it works. As you download it needs to be connected to the
device’s camera, microphones, and especially the voice command
features that are available. Then for example, a blind girl is holding a
peso bill and she forgets what her mother told her the bill costs. She
can just open her phone then have a voice command of “Alexa open
the To See App” then she would put the paper bill in line with the
back camera of her device then make another command such as
“Alexa what Peso bill am I holding? Then the app will scan it like as if
its taking a photo of it then there’s a sound that shows that the
scanning is a finished then Alexa may speak for example “You’re
holding a fifty Peso bill”
