YUVA 2021 (January 12-23, 2021)

YUVA is a National Youth Awakening festival which is celebrated every year for last 15 years to
commemorate the birth anniversary of YOUTH ICON ‘Swami Vivekananda’ in G. B. Pant University of
Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. The objective of this Youth festival is to bring
hundreds of youth from across the nation on a single platform for deliberation and thought exchange on
the topics of social importance and nation building. It also provides opportunity to youngsters to
interact with stalwarts of varied fields and vast experience of life, to channelize their immense potential
in a constructive direction and instill the spirit of Nation First in them.

This year even amidst the challenging times of COVID pandemic, we tend not to stop but carry on this
endeavour with full zeal in online mode. The theme of YUVA 2021 is "Role of Youth in Achieving
Atmanirbhar Bharat: Reviving Indian Spirit of Self Reliance". YUVA 2021 will comprise of following events:

1. Manthan, the National Youth Conference (January 12-13, 2021)


2. Udbhav, the National Inter-University Debate Competition (January 14-15, 2021)
3. Bharat Ko Jaano, the Inter-School Quiz Competition
4. Orator of the Zone, the Zonal Oratory Competition

Inspite of the current situation, the Youth Awakening festival will be celebrated with more joy and
togetherness in online mode to remind the goals and significance of the birth of an eminent personality
who inspires every youth to be powerful and strong in any situation. In the present scenario, when the
whole world is facing tough circumstances, remembrance of such a personality in such a dynamic way
will definitely keep us fueled up to face the unknown everytime.
