 BEST TIME TO VISIT
• The best time to visit Bulgaria is in the summer , around July or August; that’s when it’s least cold
and the average temperatures stay around 30 degree Celsius. It is very pleasant and rarely gets
very hot.
• Spring (April and May) with average temperature of 23 degree Celsius and autumn (September
and October) with an average temperature of 17 degree Celsius is a good times to be in the
country, if you don’t mind the slightly chilly weather.
• Winter(December to April) is good only if you like winter sports- especially skiing- and don’t
mind the cold.

Day 1: Arrival at Sofia
• Arrival at Sofia airport.
• Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Will be served packed lunch on the way.
• Refresh & Relax.
• Proceed to Guided sightseeing tour of the city center, including visit to Alexander Nevsky Cathedral – one of the largest Eastern
Orthodox cathedrals in Europe, as well as one of Sofia’s symbols and a primary tourist attraction.
• Then visit , St. Sophia Church, built by the Roman Emperor Justinian in the 6th century, National Theatre, former Royal Palace, today
housing the National Revival Art Gallery and the Ethnographic Museum, Presidency, etc.
• Evening transfer for dinner at Indian restaurant in Sofia.
• Overnight in Sofia.

Day 2: Sofia- Plovdiv Tour
• Breakfast at hotel.
• One day tour to Plovdiv. Sightseeing tour in the Old Town, including a visit to the Roman Ancient Theatre, which was build in the 2nd
century AD under the rule of the Roman Emperor Trajan and is nowadays considered to be the largest surviving Roman construction
in Bulgaria.
• Later visit to the Ethnographic Museum, Roman Stadium, St. Constantine and Helena Church, etc.
• Lunch at local restaurant.
• Drive back to Sofia in the afternoon.
• Dinner at an Indian restaurant.
• Overnight in Sofia.

Day 3: Sofia - Rila Monastery
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• One day tour to Rila Monastery : Visit to Nativity of the Virgin Church with its miracle icon of the Virgin and splendid gilded
iconostasis, the old kitchen, the monastery museum where you can learn about the long and heroic history of the monastery.
• The wood carved cross made for a period of twelve years by a monk called Rafael, Hrelyo’s Tower and many spectacular views from
the mountain and the surrounding nature.
• Drive back to Sofia in the afternoon.
• Lunch at an Indian restaurant.
• Proceed to shopping center mall Paradise or Sofia ring Mall.
