For-Implanting Tracking Chips
I. Introduction:
Imagine a world where there is no crime anywhere and you never have to worry about
losing your life. You are probably wondering how this is possible, how a world like the one we
live in can ever be without crime, but it is possible! Tracking chips make peace very possible by
allowing law enforcing groups to know where a crime happened and who did it; which also
creates awareness to all that crime is not okay. This tiny device not only will decrease crime, but
it also will have extremely useful features such as being able to tell if you have an increase or
decrease in blood pressure or if you are going to have a heart attack.
II. Thesis Statement:
The possibilities for using implanted tracking chips are endless and these possibilities
will allow you to live without fear of crime, sudden heart attacks, or dangerous levels of alcohol
or drugs in your or others’ body.
III. Body Paragraphs:
A. Topic:
A serious issue in today’s world is crime. Crime is everywhere, and there is no easy way
of controlling it because it is nearly impossible to always catch the culprits. Some other serious
issues are being unable to respond quickly when you have a heart attack, if you have high or
low blood pressure, or if you have high levels of alcohol or drugs in your bloodstream.
B. Argument 1: Decrease in Crime
In today’s age, crime may be decreasing by around 1 to 8 percent each year according to
records given by the FBI because of an increase in better technology, but it will still take
decades to even get close to eliminating crime. With tracking chips implanted in people, crime
will decrease at an increasingly rapid rate because it will be so much easier to catch culprits.
Also, when people find out that it is impossible to escape the law, crime will decrease at an

C. Argument 2: Decrease in Heart Attacks

Many people think they are immune to having a heart attack, but with such a large
number of people all over the world obese, there are going to be an increase in the number of
heart attack cases. The percentage of obese people all over the world in 2016 is about 13
percent. And between 1975 and 2016 this is an increase of about 300 percent! With tracking
chips being able to tell if you are going to have a heart attack, this will be a great help for the
medical field, possibly saving your life in the future and the life of others.
D. Argument 3: Decrease in Drunk Driving
Blood levels are also very important to keep in check to ensure the safety of not only the
individual but the people around him. Let's say that this tracking chip is a key, a key to your
house and a key to your car. But, let's also say that this tracking chip will be able to read your
BAC or Blood Alcohol Content. If your BAC is above .8 percent then you will not be able to
turn on your car making drunk driving non-existent. This doesn't just have to be for alcohol
this chip can also read unusual levels of drugs, making all intoxicated driving non exist.
E. Rebuttal:
1. “Tracking chips take away your privacy”:
No matter what, your privacy is at risk even if you don't have tracking chips because the
government has a file on everyone and everything about those people. Also, there is a great
increase in security cameras and face recognition cameras everywhere meaning you have

2. “Tracking chips are dangerous or harmful to your body”:
I doubt many people care about that nowadays with all the drugs and chemicals that people
take in. However, for those that do care you can be assured that this chip is FDA approved,
and not any more dangerous than the artificial limbs and joints that handicapped people need.

3. “I refuse to get a tracking chip placed in my body”:

There is a very easy solution to this problem, don’t commit a crime, even a petty one. To
start off with using tracking chips, the government will have tracking chips placed only in
criminals to keep them from recommitting a crime. This means that you do not have to get a

tracking chip unless crime still won’t decrease at a significant rate. If crime won't decrease
then you will have to get a tracking chip to keep you and others safe.
