To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Michayla Hochstein. I have
had the privilege of working with Michayla as she completed her Professional Semester I from
the University of Lethbridge.  During that time, Michayla was responsible for 24 Grade 2
students at Horace Allen School.
Michayla is a conscientious professional who is committed to student learning. She is to be
commended for her professionalism concern for her students, and quality of instruction. She is
excited about teaching and learning and translates this excitement into the classroom as she
teaches and learns with her students. Michayla is also reflective about her teaching and focused
that reflection on ways to improve student learning.  She interacted with the students in a
friendly manner and demonstrated genuine caring, warmth and respect for individual students. 
Her classroom was well equipped and organized. 
While teaching. Michayla developed ways to engage her students in the lessons and promoted
active participation by all students.  She is well organized, determined and goal-directed.
Michayla’s presentation is always energetic: she is confident, prepared, and interested in the
subject matter and in the students.  She utilized differentiated instruction techniques effectively
ensuring the success of all students.
 Michayla was able to communicate effectively and displayed many fine personal and
professional qualities.  She carried out her responsibilities in a responsible and dependable
manner and consistently participated in after-school activities and teacher events.
Michayla accomplishes all these tasks with great initiative and with a positive attitude. She has
the intellect, passion, and communicative skills to be an outstanding teacher, and I would
recommend her without reservation. Michayla will be a positive addition and an asset to any
school division.
