Telehealth is the delivery of health care, patient education, health information services and self-

care through the use of telecommunications and digital communication technologies like, video
conferencing, mobile health apps or remote patient monitoring (RPM). During this global pandemic,
telehealth is emerging as an effective and sustainable solution for precaution, prevention and treatment to
stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. This solution has the potential to prevent any sort of direct physical
contact, provide continuous care to the community and slow down the increasing rate of Covid-19
patients. Nurses, doctors and hospital staffs are already exhausted from the overflowing patients being
admitted at the hospital however with the use of telehealth, it will help minimize the risk to both
healthcare workers and non-covid patients from catching the virus. The use of telehealth improves the
provision of health services. Therefore, telehealth should be an important tool in caring services while
keeping patients and health providers safe during COVID-19 outbreak.
