BUS245 Introduction to Finance

Final examination on Friday, 15th January 2021

A. The final examination is scheduled on Friday, 15th January 2021. Please see the
announcement sent by the UG Programmes Team on 18/12/20 for detailed
instructions on how to choose a time slot (there are four timeslots available) and
access the exam.

B. You will have three hours to complete the exam. Students must be ready to
download their paper as soon as their chosen timeslot is live, and upload their
answer paper before the end of the timeslot. For example, if you have chosen a
10am timeslot you must submit your answer paper by 1pm via the submission
dropbox on the Assessment Information tab.

C. The exam paper contains 5 questions. Students must answer 2 questions. Each
question is worth 50 marks (for a total of 100). No formula sheet will be provided. The
pass mark for this assessment is 40% and is worth 80% of your final mark for this
module.

D. Questions on the final exam will cover Lectures 1-9 and Seminars 1-9. Please see
the Exam Revision (Lecture 10) for comprehensive guidance on the content and
structure of the exam. A practice exam question is also available on QMPlus.

E. You are allowed to use a scientific calculator.

F. Your completed exam must be uploaded as a single Word or PDF document.

Please note that if you prefer to solve numerical questions manually rather than
directly in Word, you can insert a photo of your work into your Word file.

G. Further guidance on timed exams can be found on the Undergraduate Information

Zone on QMplus. If you encounter technical problems in uploading your exam,
please email: sbm-uglevel5@qmul.ac.uk.

Good luck!
