Solve the following formulation problems

1.Bogy Company manufactures tables and chairs. Each table requires 7 square feet of wood to
be produced, while one chair requires 5 square feet of wood. Each table requires twice as
much labor time as one chair. At the current time, the company has available 250 square feet
of wood. The total labor time allowed is 800 hours. The market limits sales of tables and
chairs to 300 and 450 units. Assume that the profits per unit are 15 L.E and 9 L.E for tables
and chairs, respectively. The company would like to know the number of tables and chairs to
be produced in order to maximize profit. Formulate the Linear Programming Mathematical
Model.

2.. The Whitt Window Company is a company with only three employees which makes two
different kinds of hand-crafted windows: a wood-framed and an aluminum-framed window.
They earn $60 profit for each wood- framed window and $30 profit for each aluminum-
framed window. Doug makes the wood frames and can make 6 per day. Linda makes the
aluminum frames and can make 4 per day. Bob forms and cut glass and can make 48 square
feet of glass per day. Each wood-framed window uses 6 square feet of glass and each
aluminum-framed window uses 8 square feet of glass. The company wishes to determine
how many windows of each type to produce per day to maximize total profit. Formulate the
linear programming model for this problem.
