and how they impact YOUR identity

What is visual literacy? Visual literacy is the ability to interpret or make meaning of
information in the form of images

Why is this important? Popular visual culture surrounds you every day! These images are
saying more than you think. Once you analyze the real meaning, you can better understand
the underlying impact they are having
The Project
What we will be doing:

● Collecting images that are your popular culture influences


● Writing the real or underlying meaning of these images in your process
journal
● Making a collage of your popular visual culture influences
