The main carrier of energy for all living species on earth is ATP or Adenosine

Triphosphate. When energy is needed by the cell, ATP is broken down by hydrolysis. The
bond with high energy is broken and a band of phosphoryl is extracted. Thus process uses the
energy released to drive various cellular process. As it is involved in biological reactions,
ATP is continuously produced and broken down and is central the survival and development
of all organisms. Cells could no transfer energy from one place to another without it for
making development and reproduction impossible for humans. For biochemical reactions in
any muscle contraction, ATP is necessary, as the muscle is function increases, more ATP is
absorbed and has to be replaced to keep the muscle moving. The body has several different
systems to generate ATP because it is so necessary. Such systems work in stages together.
The interesting thing is that different exercise types use different systems, so a sprinter get
ATP from a marathon runner is completely different way.
