F*CK COVID, ITʼS THE SUMMERTIME

AUGUST 14, 2020. (BERLIN, GERMANY)The world is in turmoil. There is a brutal

pandemic thanks to a bacteria that is 10,000 times smaller than a grain of salt. The
USA is heading towards a civil war. Populist governments have popped up
everywhere. Despite all of this insanity, Berlin-based SynthPop-Sunshine-Pop
artist Stephen Paul Taylor has written the perfect summer song that will not only
help us to forget the insanity of this year, but will fill our hearts with sunshine and
joy. On August 14, 2020, “Surfʼs Up” hits the airwaves. Surfers everywhere will
rejoice on this date.

Produced by Berlin icon Nick Scholey (who is also directing the music video) and
featuring Per Gouras on the bouncy slap-bass, “Surfʼs Up” features reflective
verses in which Taylor sings about the “plague and civil war” weʼve suffered
through. These meditative, somber verses lead to the bombastic choruses in
which he gleefully sings about “Beach Boys on the beach”, “Bar-B-Qʼs in parks”
and “camping next to sheep”.

Taylor collaborated with pop princess, Lisa Lee, who lives and works in Hollywood.
Lisa Lee is a veteran actress and performer who lends a Katy Perry-esque element
to this bombastic summer song.

SPT has amassed over 8 million views on his YouTube channel, played in over 20
countries in the last seven years and was on Das Supertalent in 2016. Heʼs often
referred to as “the most famous keyboard player in Berlin”
