1a)Enter the data in Excel, then Summarise and present it using an appropriate graph. Do that for
each question. (8 marks)

1b) (i) For variable Q8, calculate the following summary measures;mean, median and mode.
Comment on the distribution of income based on your calculations. (5 marks)

Hint formulae: =average (define range of values); =mode(define range of values)

Eg =stdev.s(A1:A45)

(ii) Calculate the coefficient of skewness and compare with your comment in 1 b (i) above.(3
marks)

1c) Enter questions (Q5 and Q6) in SPSS and perform a cross-tabulation of the two variables.
Interpret the computer output. (9 marks)
