Coin Sorting Machine (KA-CHING)
building a pocket size coin sorting
machine using IR sensors. This
machine counts and sorts the coins in
different sections with the help of an
Infrared sensor. Here, an arrangement
is made where IR sensors are placed to
sense different coins, and Arduino UNO
is used for processing the data and
showing the total count value
- convenience to look for coins when
paying
- women with big bags and carries
lots of stuffs/ women who often
have trouble looking for things in
their bags
- microcontroller ARDUINO is used
as the processing unit to operate
the automatic coin counting and
sorting system of the machine
- reduce messiness in bags due to
too much stuff
- easily check the total sum of coins

- in olden days, even currently, we still
hand count the coins by our own,
sometimes when we get the change
we usually will just keep it in our
pocket or just conveniently throw
them back into our bags which make
it hard for us to look for it later on.
With the help of this sorting machine,
we can now store them easily and at
the same time have it distributed
accordingly.

Secret Sign Detecting Door Locks
(Knock Knock)
Protect your secret hideout from
intruders with a lock that will only open
when it hears the secret sign.
- lock and unlock the door using
secret signs that only you know
- ppl who always forget to bring their
keys out/ when their hands are full,
holding too much stuff/ kept losing
their keys
- using microcontrollers like arduino

- Security is a major concern in our
day to day life, and digital locks have
become an important part of these
security systems. There are many
types of security systems available to
secure our place. Some examples
are PIR based Security System,
RFID based Security System, Digital
Lock System, bio-matrix systems,
Electronics Code lock. However, not all
can afford such expensive locks for
their houses. Hence, I’ve decided to
build a Secret Sign Detecting Door
Lock using Arduino which can detect
the pattern of your knocks/keywords
at the door and will only open the
lock if the knocking pattern matches
 with the correct pattern.
