Very good!
How about the statement of value? Sir, the statement of value claim that
something does or does not have worth.
Ex. Podcasts have become the media of the
consequence in the 21st century.
Well, that is correct thank you.
Okay, people from the back please elaborate
the statement of policy. Sir, claim that something should or should
not be done.
Ex. What we need most of all isn’t mourning
bur action to lower the toll of guns in
Philippines.
Alright that is correct, thank you.
Motivation
I think class, you already mastered our lesson
yesterday, now, we will proceed to our next
lesson for this morning. But before that, I
have a question. In your own understanding,
what is message?
Who else that who want to share their ideas (The students are thinking)
on what is message?
Now class base from your answers, what do Sir, our lesson for this morning is about
you think is our lesson for this morning? message.
PRESENTATION
(After the students read each statement the (The students read the statements)
teacher will now ask some questions,
regarding to the given text.)
Again, raise your hand if you want to answer. Sir, statement number 2 say that, the online
class in the Philippines is successful and
effective.
Okay, thank you.
What about statement number 3? Sir, statement number 3 say that the covid-
19 affected cases is getting worst.
Now, last statement number 4. who can Sir, the statement number 4 say that the
interpret this statement? covid-19 total number recoveries is higher
than the total number of deaths.
Okay thank you.
Okay, now who can determine the negative Sir, the negative statements are number 1
statement or message from our examples? and 3.
Okay, how did you know? Sir, I determined that it is negative because
of the word “not effective” in statement
number 1 and the word “extremely rising” in
statement number 3. And also, by
understanding the message of the
statements.
Thank you, that is correct.
So class, in order to determine the message
or statement that it is negative, we should
always look for the words or phrase that
makes them negative, and also the meaning
or the sense of the whole statement.
How about the example number 2 class? Sir, still the same with statement number 1,
in statement number 2, just understand the
sense of the statement or find words that can
help you to determine the effect of a
statement or message whether it is negative
or positive.
Thank you that is correct.
Please do not answer in chorus. Sir, the positive statements are number 2 and
Raise your hands if you want to answer. 4.
Okay, how did you know that statements It is because of the meaning and the sense of
number 2 and 4 are positive statements? the statement Sir.
