2019 GenieLab – Interdisciplinary Creative Program


i. Project Description:
“2019 GenieLab – Interdisciplinary Creative Program” is coming to Taipei National University of
Arts (TNUA)! This program aims to explore interdisciplinary arts creativity through providing
TNUA students with this experimental platform to exercise their creativity and create endless
possibilities. All students are encouraged and welcome to apply the program. Selected students
will be invited to perform and showcase in the campus in September. We are looking forward to
the excitement and energy generated by these creative projects, stimulating wild imagination
and colliding art forms, with the goal of creating unconventional mix experimental results.

iii. Who is eligible?


 Current Students of TNUA (Certificate of Enrollment is required)
 Individual or Group (Group members must be from different college in TNUA)
 One applicant per project
 Project presentation is limited to in-campus

iv. Application
 Dateline:5pm, 3rd May 2019
 Applicants may deliver the application directly to the TNUA Office of Research &
Development, or by mail reaching the office before dateline (Address: No.1, Xueyuan Rd,
Beitou Dist., Taipei City) Late application will not be accepted.
 Application result:Before 31st May 2019. Announcement will be made on the Office of
Research and Development website and selected applicant will be notified through email.
 Performance Date:Mid - September 2019.

v. Required Documents
 Participating members’ Certificate of Enrollment
 Six copies of Application Form
 Application content:
A. Basic Information
B. Project Proposal (including project title, project concept, presentation form, venue
planning, technical requirement, participants bio, etc..)
C. Project budget (including personnel fee, miscellaneous fee, material fee, etc..)
D. Appendix : Other relevant documents that may help in reviewing process, such as past
performance promotional, media and press review, photography and video recording
(limited to around 10min in internet link, no DVD/CD)
vi. Application Evaluation
 Document review:Review by external evaluation committee invited by TNUA
 Interview:Applicant to be interviewed and deliver presentation for not more than 6
minutes. Interview location and time will be notified through email.

vii. Funding
 Selected applicant will receive the grant allocated by evaluation committee up to NT30,000
 Consultation Fee:Selected applicant must choose an advisor from TNUA as creative
consultant. The organizer will subsidize an additional of NT10,000 for consultation fee.
 Performance/Presentation Prize: Outstanding presentation/performance selected by the
Evaluation Committee will be further awarded up to NT40,000.
 If the creative project budget exceed our available amount, selected applicant are subjected
to cove the extra expense by their own means.

viii. Production Support


 The organizer will assist selected applicants with their administration needs, performance
location and scheduling, as well as promoting the performance under the 2019 Genie Lab
program promotion.
 Selected applicant are entitled to use the performance space for free during the
performance period. Selected applicant are however liable for any damage of the on-site
property arising therefrom.
 All performances of the 2019 Genie Lab program will be free admission. If selected
applicant wished to conduct extra business activities within their performance period, they
must complete and comply all procedures of the university on their own.
 Selected applicants must sign an agreement for carrying out the performance. Canceled
performance are subjected to return all prior allocated grant.
 Selected applicants must coordinate with the organizer for event preparations. This include
to submit required information and documents on time. The organizer holds the authority
to terminate appropriation of funds and the recovery of funds.
 Applicant or a representative is responsible for communication, administration and
coordination matter with the organizer.
 Selected applicants are required to participate relevant activities hosted by the organizer
(eg: promotional activities, experience sharing sessions, etc..)
 Selected applicants are subjected to provide their production documents, photographs and
videos without fees to the organizer for non-profit reproduction and publicity purposes.
 All project intellectual property rights remain and belong to the selected applicant. Future
reproduction, or in extension of the project and performances are required to clearly
specify 「教育部補助國立臺北藝術大學 108 年學校發展特色計畫」 on related
documents.
