Session development

Depending on your group size and behaviour, you need to adapt the provided materials to
develop the session. It is highly recommendable to do these activities as a whole group, as they
will find them similar to the ones you previously developed.

Use the audios to help students remind structures and then practice it through spoken questions
and answers. It is highly recommendable to do these activities as a whole group.

To develop the last activity of the second consolidation session, you need to draw some food
items in the fridge for your students to describe it. They need to use the structures there is / there
are / some / any, a / an.

You can find an extra file called “gb! Advanced Kids – Speaking Test” in which you will be able to
find extra questions connected to the contents developed. If you have spare time before finishing
the sessions, feel free to use them!

Session Assessment

The assessment of this session will depend on the ability of the students to understand and use
orally the structures included within the activities given.

students will become more confident before they answer questions connected to the functions
required.

If you choose to interview your students individually, it would be helpful for them to have a look at
the “Now it’s your turn” activities. They are written activities based on the spoken language they
need to produce. Children may do these activities while each of them is being interviewed.

Session assessment

The assessment of this session is focused on the ability of your students to understand and reply
the questions asked.

Have a look at the GESE 2 Sample video to see how the interview is like.
