Faith: Journal Writing

1. What have I leaned about the value of Faith?

- I have learned that having faith is important, whether or not a person believes in
God or any higher being. Having faith in the most bleakest of situations can give
someone hope, and I believe that hope is what keeps most of us going, to continue to
conquer our endeavors. Having a sense of spirituality also helps us feel more
wholesome, feeling that there is a plan for you that is beyond your control, can help
us feel more stable within ourselves.

2. As a student nurse, how important is the value of Faith for you?

- As a student nurse having the value of Faith is very important in that being at
peace with your spirituality can help us acknowledge and accept issues in health
and illness, those suffering, and death. Having a positive belief in life through having
faith can help empower us. It can also help provide comfort in ourselves, the people
we love, and our patients, and give them strength.
