Statement of Faith

The Bible is God’s word to us, it was divinely inspired and written by human authors. It does not

contradict itself and is our guide for how to live on Earth.

I believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are three distinct

personalities with distinct roles, but there is one God, and He is the Creator of the universe.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior and the Son of God. He was born of a

virgin, lived a life without sin, died on the cross, and was raised from the grave. And I believe

that He will return victoriously to rule as Lord.

I believe that Jesus paid the ultimate price when dying on the cross for our sins so that we may

be reunited with God in heaven. This salvation was a gift from God that we did not earn or

deserve.

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, so we must ask for forgiveness and repent

from our sins

The Holy Spirit resides in believers as a result of salvation. The Holy Spirit empowers them to

live a holy life and acts as a Comforter, Guide, and Advocate.

I believe that Jesus was sent to die on the cross so that those that live by faith and have accepted

Him as their Lord and Savior will live eternally with him and that those who do not will spend an

eternity in damnation.

Implications for Education:

I believe that the Holy Spirit resides in me and has the power to grant spiritual gifts. I

believe that the gift of teaching, a heart for children, a passion for education and the drive to

pursue this path were instilled in me by God. With that belief in mind, I think that it is my

purpose to glorify God in my career and use the gifts I have been granted to serve Him. I believe

He has called me to teach children and be a source of guidance and love in their lives.

Since I believe that God sent His precious Son to die on the cross so that we may live

eternally with Him, I know that God sees everyone in this world one of His precious children.

This means that everyone I encounter is worthy, valued, loved and treasured, and that it is my

responsibility to treat them with love and kindness.

I believe that eternal damnation faces those who do not believe and follow the teachings

of Jesus Christ. Therefore, I strive to be an example and an evangelist in the things I do and the

words I speak to turn hearts towards Jesus and save those that are lost, from an eternity of

sorrow.
Faith as a Teacher:

I do believe that God has control of my life and that His guidance and power has placed

me exactly where I need to be. I understand the limitations of public education and the separation

of Church and State, but I also believe that I can show God’s love and His teachings through my

personality and relationships with others. My beliefs are most important and will hold

precedence when deciding what school is a correct fit for me, but I also believe that God will

grant me the strength to be face adversity and remain faithful. My successes have been gifts from

God and I want to use my education and my abilities to glorify Him. I will be an example of

love, forgiveness, selflessness, peace, patience, joy, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control,

and faithfulness. And my life will be a reflection of God’s grace. Not only will this help me be a

more effective educator, but my hope is that others would notice my way of life and see the

fruitful result of a relationship with God.
