Dear Parents / Guardians, Praised be Jesus Christ!

Your son / daughter is applying to the Bishop Ludden Campus Ministry PEER LEADER TEAM for the
Academic year 2020 - 2021. This Program offers the candidate an opportunity to grow and mature as a
Disciple in Mission by using the gifts of mind and heart, in witnessing and carrying out activities and
projects that uphold the Christian values of Bishop Ludden Jr. / Sr. High School. To be considered for the
Peer leader Core Team, a student must meet the following criteria:

Responsibilities:

1. Attend on-going Peer Leader Meetings, Training and Retreat planning


2. Learn, Prepare and Engage other students in School Liturgies, Penance Services and Retreats
3. Lead Prayer Encounters at daily Lunch periods, in Chapel or during anticipated School Assemblies
4. Organize and Participate in all School Service Projects and Campus Ministry Fundraising
Activities
5. Be available to help at the Open House or other Bishop Ludden Sports, Social or Spiritual Events
6. Be available to plan and present a Religious / Retreat activity at a local Catholic Elementary
School, as requested

Expectations:

7. Maintain an academic average of 80% or above.


8. Cooperate with teachers and be responsible for any and all assignments missed due to Campus
Ministry obligations.
9. Adhere to the school policies and expectations of Bishop Ludden, specifically, to be a positive role
model demonstrating respectful comportment towards faculty, staff, parents and ALL students.
10. To be available for monthly Campus Ministry Mass set-up & clean- up in Gym and other events
11. Attend at least monthly the Tuesday Mass @ 7:40 am before House throughout the academic
year

If you are in favor of your son/daughter applying to the Disciples in Mission Core Team, then please
complete the Agreement Form on the next page. Your son/ daughter is responsible to complete all other
sections pertaining to this application packet, and return it to Campus Ministry by Wednesday, May
15th.

When the application and all materials are received, then the candidate will be scheduled for a personal
interview with the Disciples in Mission Camp Ministry Core Team Committee. (Please note: There is a
Probationary period of two months for all new candidates, beginning in September 2019.)

PEER LEADER CORE TEAM AGREEMENT

2020 - 2021

set for a Peer Leader Core Team Member of the Bishop Ludden Campus Ministry Program. I will
represent myself, my family, and the Community of Bishop Ludden Jr./Sr. High School with the utmost
dignity, self-respect, honesty and integrity as a Disciple in Mission for the Lord’s Service.

I further attest and obligate myself to fulfill and uphold the following responsibilities and expectations,
and may be dismissed at any time for failure to follow or uphold them.

Responsibilities:

A. Attending the Core team Training and Retreat


B. Attend Safe Environment training offered by Campus Ministry / Bishop Ludden HS
C. Learning about and preparing for Liturgies, Penance Services and Retreats
D. Leading Prayer at daily Lunch, in Chapel and School Assemblies
E. Organizing and Participating in Service Projects and CM Fundraising
F. Be available to help at the Open House or other Bishop Ludden Sports, Social or Spiritual Events
G. Be available to plan and present a Religious / Retreat activity at a local Catholic Elementary
School, as requested

Expectations:

H. Successful completion of the Probationary Period - Quarter 1


I. Maintaining an academic average of 80% or above, throughout the academic year
J. Cooperate with teachers and be responsible for any and all assignments missed due to Campus
Ministry obligations
K. Adhere to the school policies and expectations of Bishop Ludden, specifically, showing and
modeling respect to all faculty and staff; to be kind and welcoming to ALL students
L. Be a positive role model both inside the school environment and in the community
M. To be available for monthly Campus Ministry Mass set-up in Gym and other events
N. Attend at least monthly the Tuesday Mass @ 7:40 am before House throughout the academic
year

I understand that failure to fulfill these requirements may result in suspension or dismissal from the
Disciples in Mission Core Team and the Bishop Ludden Campus Ministry Program.
