INTRODUCTION

In 21st century, customers loyalty is the hard for survival and success of any

store and now the internet create a fast way to shop by student, it was called

online shopping. Online shopping is a fast and efficient way for consumers to

purchase the products and services. The growth of interest in the internet as a

shopping and purchasing is fascinating for customers and mostly senior student

because we are independent in the technology. Its rapid growth poses intriguing

questions for academics research. Some researchers proposed that the

consumer’s own characteristics play an important role in his/her propensity to

engage in internet transactions ( Jarvenpaa and Grazioli, 1999). We been

become independent in technology like social media, and website and in our

daily the growth of internet become part of our life and it was include online

shopping that become habits of most student. They purchase online of what they

need, of what we want, even they sell also to have their own money. By Dan

Christmas season has revealed Filipinos’ growing interest in online shopping in

recent years. Social media is the easy way to communicate with the top product

the consumer and mostly Philippines is one of the country who use social media

everyday. Many shoppers who make their purchases online want quick and easy

checkout. An effective way to accomplish this is by saving your customers' billing

and shipping information, which allows them to check out faster, without

entering a lot of repetitive data more and more e-commerce. How does the

consumes understand the online shopping habits and when they don’t

understand there will be a downfall of many ecommerce of business. More than

80% of consumers are willing to purchase products online when free shipping is

on the table, by advertising free shipping, whether it is for a specified purchase

total or not, you have a better opportunity to turn website visitors into paying

customers (Keegan,2020) meanwhile some of consumers are only going to

purchase the product if its only free shipping, like student if they don’t have

enough money to pay for the shipping fee they will find another product thaw

was free shipping. Many Filipinos purchase an item to fulfill their needs and

wants. Before the pandemic, people are free to go shopping in the mall to buy

things that they need. According to NikkeiAsia (2018), FTCR's fourth-quarter

2017 survey of 1,000 urban Filipinos confirmed their attachment to malls. The

survey showed that 11% of respondents visit malls every day. It only shows that

Filipinos love to spend time in the mall. When the pandemic comes, most of the
establishment is closed because of the hard lockdown in Metro Manila. People

are not allowed to go outside. Only people who have quarantine pass are

allowed to buy their essential things. People choose to shop online to buy their

needs and wants. Online shopping is a process whereby consumers directly buy

goods, services, etc. from a seller without an intermediary service over the

Internet, Gnanadhas (2014). It is a more convenient way to purchase the

product despite the pandemic. One of the well known online shopping sites are

lazada and shopee, wherein people can choose anything that they want and buy

products at the most affordable price. The majority of Filipinos who shop online

are between the ages of 18 to 31, members of Gen Z and Millennials who are

tech-savvy and prolific social media users, Katrina & benedict (2019). This field

of e-commerce has a steady fast pace growth in the Philippines. This research

aims at exploring the effect of adolescent decision‐making styles on online

purchasing behavior, with peer influence as a moderating variable. In this

research the researchers want to know the different behaviors of consumer

consumers in social media. In this research the researchers will take 50 students

from Novaliches High School to answer our survey to gather information.
