Facts of the case should be in bullet points. Write only the relevant facts to prove the relief that is being sought in the case. Third, write the argument of each of the parties. Plaintiff v Defendant. Narrate the argument of one and also the corresponding contention of another party. Fourth, state the ruling of RTC and the CA. Narrate how it is being moved to Supreme Court. Be sure to indicate whose party is being favored by either of the Courts. Lastly, write the Supreme Court’s ruling in this format: 1. State the Supreme Court’s ruling. Is the petition denied, are the lower court’s decision is affirmed or modified or reversed, etc.? 2. Write the doctrine of the case. This is the most important part. This is what the case teaches us. 3. Apply the said doctrine in the case at bar.
