1. In leadership, explain the concepts of effectiveness and efficiency in
accomplishing tasks.
In leadership, effectiveness and efficiency are very important.
because in order to have commands, leaders must be sure to their words or sayings. They must be sure that his/her teammates perform the command very well in order to have effectiveness on their task given. On the other hand, they should be more efficient in doing their task especially when it’s all about time. When it comes to materials needed, they should be more careful to these things because they don’t know yet if they can perfect a certain task at 1 st try, there should be a back up plan and a backup materials.
2. Of the traits expected from a leader, which do you think is the most crucial in determining success?
I do attend leadership training lately and for me as a Leader the
most crucial in determining success is during ‘plan making’ it is crucial in fact leaders must be very precise and wise in creating this thing. There should be more “what ifs?” at this part and leaders must consider all possible backup plans for it. 3. Out of the philosophical concepts discussed previously, choose 1 philosophy that you think best suits you.
For me, I choose Pragmatism, I believed that reality is
everything changes. The world is constantly changing and everything works through activities and experience. I strongly choose this philosophy because I proved it on my own based on my experience. And I am proud to say that I’m once a stubborn and stupid student/son on my high school year and later on as time goes by, I’ve changed a lot. I don’t know the main reason why, maybe because of my dreams in life, maybe because of my family and friends or maybe because reality is everything changes.
4. How do you see yourself as a leader?
Simple, I am once a leader and I have 3 important
qualities to become an effective leader. First, I am a Good listener. It is very important because listening is a way of learning, you can learn from your teammates by having this kind of attitude. Second, is being observant, because threats are cannot be eliminated and they are always nearby. Last but not the least, is having that attitude of being Christ Centeredness at anytime and anywhere. God will guide us as always. A relationship with God who made us does not make us radical –it makes us how we were always meant to be.
