CITIZENSHIP TRAINING
Introduction
The Filipino value system refers to the collection of values that has traditionally been
important to most Filipinos throughout their lives. It contains its own unique collection of
cohesive ideologies, moral codes, ethical standards, etiquette, and social and personal ideals
promoted by its society. However, as in any culture, based on faith, upbringing and other
variables, the values that a person holds sacred will differ. The distinct value system of Filipinos,
as a general description, is mainly rooted in personal alliance systems, especially those centered
on kinship, duty, friendship, religion, and business relationships.
