Skills Musician: Primarily a woodwind performer accomplished on:

Oboe, English Horn, Saxophones, Flute, Piccolo, Clarinets and Bassoon


Secondarily proficient on:

Voice, Guitar, Piano, Electric Bass and Latin Percussion

Composer: Composes original melodies and accompaniments as well as lyrics. Arranges and orchestrates
for various configurations and sizes of ensembles. Experience arranging music for various sized musical
ensembles from big band jazz orchestras to small quartets.

Educator: Experienced as a private instructor for all disciplines aforementioned. Masterclass clinician
experience and demonstrator for various sized musical ensembles.

Recording & Music Technology Skills: Ability to record using Pro-Tools, Audacity and Cakewalk
Sonar XL. Skilled in digital musical platforms for PC such as Finale and Band-in-the-Box. Video Production
and Editing Software experience using Movavi and Kdenlive.

Experience
Online Music & Language Instruction
 Since April 2020 has created an online classroom via Skype, Zoom & Whataspp digital platforms for a multitude of
instruments including all woodwinds, guitar, piano, theory, composition and voice.
 In addition to instrumentation courses, theory and musicianship, taught online language to students from Australia,
Portugal and the United States. The languages offered are: English (ESOL), Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and
Japanese.
 Video Production using computer software and webcam technology to promote online studio and record collaborative
duets between students and teacher in lieu of live recital performances.
2014- 2020 Kendall Conservatory of Music Miami, FL

 Private instruction for multitude of instruments including all woodwinds, guitar, piano and voice.
 Besides instrumentation also teaches theory and musicianship to students of all ages, and prepared pupils for regular
recitals to promote artistic development and personal confidence.

2013- Present Damian J Project Miami, FL

Director
 Formed Miami’s first open source musical collaboration dedicated to the preservation, development and education of
jazz. Performs on all aforementioned instruments and sings with all the groups.
 The project comprises various small ensembles each presenting a different style of jazz for corporate events and
various functions in the community.

 Manages, promotes and organizes all performances. Acquires all musicians, oversees finances and produces all
recordings representative of the groups as well as handles all social media and maintains current website design. In
charge of operations for all the groups under the umbrella of Damian J Project.

2012 American Queen Steamboat Company Memphis, TN

Officer
 Performed on all production shows, Welcome Aboard and Capitan’s Farewell dinners.
 Backed up and performed as part of the show for several special guest artists such as The Lovin’ Spoonful,
The Platters and Judy Collins.

 In addition to musical duties would also assist with passenger check-in onboard the boat and facilitate luggage
transportation to and from the vessel.

2009- 2012 Glenn Miller Orchestra United States, Japan and Canada

Stage Crew
Assistant Road Manager
 Performed as the tenor saxophonist that split the lead with the clarinetist in the orchestra.
 Also doubled on flute and clarinet and improvised as part of the performances.

 Served as Stage Crew secondarily setting up and tearing down all stages in addition to taping down and securing
cables and packing up all equipment.

 Promoted to Assistant Road Manager of the orchestra in 2011 to organize logistics and accommodations throughout
the continental United States, all Canadian provinces and Japanese prefectures. Also produced a bi-weekly itinerary
and ran the inventory of all uniforms. Kept records of all musician infractions and administered fines and
disciplinary actions.

2009 Briarwood Community Church Memphis, TN

 Performed as a woodwind multi-instrumentalist for a local production of Hello Dolly.
 Improvised on saxophone while performing as part of the select ensemble.

 Performed alongside professional musicians enlisted in the United States Air Force touring the Southwest.

 Touring engagements included Freemont Street Experience headlining artists in Las Vegas, Nevada and Fiesta

 Graduate studies included: oboe performance, woodwind doubling and jazz studies.

 Recipient of teaching assistantship (TA) in addition to tuition based scholarship based on grade
point average and musical achievements.

 Studied jazz composition and arrangement with Dr. Jack T. Cooper, director of Jazz Studies at the
University of Memphis; oboe performance and pedagogy with Dr. Michelle Vigneau; and
contemporary music with Tim Goodwin.

 Graduate assistant duties included performing full time with university ensembles such as Southern
Comfort Jazz Orchestra, Contemporary Composition Chamber Players and Blues Ascendance and
taught several sections of Music Appreciation.

multiple selections as 2000-2002 National Hispanic Scholarship fund winner.
 Resident Assistant (2000-2003) at all male residence hall. Promoted to Assistant Hall Director of
Twin Towers Male Residence Hall (2004). Awarded Resident Assistant of the Year (2003).
 Performed while in college with local legends and traveled with university ensembles throughout
the United States.
