Introduction

It is essential to sense the importance of the Academic Text for you to have a clear structure. We all
accept that an ability that has to be taught is writing. No matter the case, the student/s has to cultivate
an interest in it. Each subject has its responsibility for monitoring, vocabulary, and type of discussion
with that you'll have to educate yourself over the topic of your study results. There are related
documentation from the Academic Text will be presented in this article.
ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY ON BULLYING

Bullying is a widespread phenomenon in schools that has a detrimental effect on students’ emotional
and psychological well-being. It leads to short- and long-term outcomes including problems with
concentration, learning difficulties, psychosomatic problems, depression, anxiety, etc. It may include
threats, verbal and physical abuse, mockery, insulting, and so on. There is no unanimity among scholars
and educators as to how this dysfunctional behaviour should be prevented and punished. As far as I am
concerned, its complex nature requires a collaborative approach, which means that parents, teachers,
and students themselves need to be involved.

Solutions to eliminate bullying in schools vary significantly. Some parents and teachers believe that this
phenomenon is no more just a stage in children’s life that does not mean anything. Many of them have
been the victims of bullying and think that it is normal in schools. This attitude is extremely dangerous
because it discourages children from reporting the cases of bullying and leaves them face-to-face with
their abusers. Some schools are more responsible when it comes to eliminating bullying. They
discourage this type of behaviour by imposing sanctions on the bullies and providing psychological
support for victims. Student education is another widespread solution to bullying, and some educational
institutions provide lectures on bullying prevention. Working with bullies may bring positive effects as
well because these students often require psychological support to overcome aggression.

However, the most effective solution to the problem of school bullying lies in the collaboration of
teachers, parents, and students. It is not enough to provide lectures while parents fail to give their
children enough attention and support at home. Similarly, sanctions would not bring a long-term effect
unless students are aware of the adverse consequences of their behaviour and know how to stop
bullying that occurs within their groups. Parent education may also be effective because some families
do not realize the importance of the problem and may be blind to their children’s needs. Thus, schools,
parents, and students should work collaboratively towards eliminating bullying and making school a
safer place.

As a former victim of school bullying, I know how difficult it may be for students to experience this type
of aggression. Although my parents were supportive and gave me some valuable advice as to how I
should communicate with bullies, it was still very hard for me to go to school sometimes. I would feel
much better if my teachers realized the seriousness of the problem and worked more on raising
students’ awareness. I need to admit that I could not prevent bullying when it occurred in my classroom
because I simply did not know how to intervene and help the victims. Therefore, I believe that the
collaborative approach to bullying prevention is the best solution to combat this phenomenon in our
schools.

To conclude, bullying is an extremely harmful behaviour that has adverse effects on victims’ mental and
emotional well-being and academic performance. It may manifest itself in verbal and physical abuse,
name-calling, insulting, and so on. Schools acknowledge the importance of detecting and preventing this
phenomenon; yet, the current fragmented efforts are not enough to combat it. From my personal
experience, I can say that a collaborative approach to bullying prevention is required that involves
teachers, parents, and students.
ABC Project Concept Paper:

How to involve young parents in advocating for proposed school regulation

Background of this idea

ABCs mission is to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. In the past few years, we have been
concerned about how to best advocate for young parents with children who have disabilitiesespecially
since a recently proposed school regulation will have a huge impact on their lives. To sufficiently
influence policy makers, these parents need to be educated on the issues and involved in advocating for
the new regulation. Their involvement will give ABCs advocacy work the necessary visible support of
young families. However, few young parents participate in ABCs advocacy programs, preferring to join
XYZ for their relevant information and support groups or LMN for their help in addressing problems in
the school system. ABC recognizes that young parents have a limited amount of free time and wants to
make it easy for them to participate in its advocacy efforts. In addition, ABC needs to be a good steward
of its resources and not compete for clients with other organizations that are providing excellent
complementary services.

Purpose of the alliance

The purpose of this alliance is to

Share information about the proposed school regulation

Recruit young parents into the project

Provide training to young parents so that they can assist in revising the proposed school regulation

Defray the costs of parent involvement in the project

Outcomes

An alliance of ABC, XYZ, and LMN (and perhaps other partners) will directly impact people with
disabilities and their families and make a difference in their lives for years to come. The involvement of
informed, concerned constituents will influence policy makers and help to make needed revisions in the
proposed school regulation.

The first steps

Before the end of the summer, we will need to

Assign a lead organization to manage the advocacy component

Recruit young parents of disabled children who are willing to advocate for revising the proposed school
regulation
Provide a comprehensive training program for the young parents so they understand the roles of each
of the participating organizations, the background on the proposed regulation and the regulations
probable impact on students

Involve the informed young parents in meetings the State Department of Education will hold on the
regulation

This project will be complete by the end of December when the vote will be taken on the school
regulation. At that time, we could decide to continue as an alliance to advocate for other issues or
celebrate our success and conclude the alliance project.

Hope (Korean: 소원; RR: Sowon), also known as Wish, is a 2013 South Korean film directed by Lee Joon-
ik, starring Sol Kyung-gu, Uhm Ji-won and Lee Re. It won Best Film at the 34th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
The film is based on a true story, the infamous Nayoung Case in 2008, in which an 8-year-old girl, named
"Na-young" in the Korean press, was raped and beaten by a drunk 57-year-old man in a public toilet. The
court sentenced the man to only 12 years in prison, which caused outrage in the country due to the
brutality of the crime and the man's history of physical and sexual violence. A young girl named So-won
lives an idyllic life with her working class parents Dong-hoon and Mi-hee. One day on a rainy morning,
little So-Won (Lee Re) leaves for school, which is not very far from her home. Her father works at a local
factory and her mother runs a modest neighborhood stationery shop below their home. So-Won is
supposed to walk to school with her friend, but her friend ditched her for his group of guy friends. So-
Won does not make it to school. Hours later, So-Won's father Dong-Hoon (Sol Kyung-Gu) receives a gut
wrenching phone call from the police. So-Won is now hospitalized after being brutally sexually
assaulted. Can their family put back the pieces of their once happy home?

I finished this movie tonight and I'm pretty much sure it will stick with me for years and years. First
things things this movie has trigger warning for child raped if it's a topic you feel uneasy watching i
suggest you to skip it. In the first scene of the movie l feel bored because It nkt easy to understand
Korean movie but continuing to watch I already understand the flow of the movie.

Hope sets a scene in a very peaceful town in South Korea, where the kids play freely without the
supervision of their parents, daily walking to school. That makes the things that are going to happen
here hard to accept. All that serenity crumbled at an early heavy rain, there was a girl who had been
brutally assaulted by an old man.

In the scene when So-Won encounter the drunk guy that has a bad intention to her I didn't expect that
the next scene will shocked the viewers. So-Won was brutally attacked, choked, and raped and fighting
for her life. For me this movie is NOT for everyone! I cried more or less throughout the entire movie so
I'd say prepare yourself beforehand

RadioGirl (2016) stated that this movie is actually based on a true story, the so-called Nayoung case from
2008. It's important to say that we don't get to see "the scene" (thankfully) but only the umbrella-scene
and the aftermath of it.

According to Snessonic (2017) The first part of the movie when the assault takes place is one of the most
horrific things I've ever seen, and you don't even see it happen but the thought of it haunts you. And
when you know this is based on a true story and that the movie isn't even close to how horrific the
actual case was it stuns you completely.

Lee Re was amazing in this movie. She is already such a talented actress at such a young age. I had to
keep reminding myself that it's all just a movie and that this sweet little girl was just acting. The rest of
the cast was amazing too. Not only the grownups but the children as well. So many heartbreaking
scenes. However, there were some lighthearted scenes here and there too so you might even smile or
laugh a few times.

So-won, the protagonist of the film. Why is such a cute kid raped by bad guys? The event not only
caused a great shock in the hearts of the people but also made the future of the baby So-won dark. All
life has to bring artificial anus that can not be active in urination. The director did not hesitate to
straighten the camera into her face swollen, flushed with wounds, causing viewers to shiver bitterly.
Everyday, the family also saves money each day to prepare for the new member who is about to be
born.So-won is a very bright, gentle and docile girl. That makes the pain that the film brings up more
multiples. The film's theme is mostly non-verbal music composed of piano, violin making the atmosphere
of the film become sad.

a-alice (2018) cited that She felt angry with the villain in the movie, he always said he was innocent. In
fact, he knew his actions were wrong, worthy of being punished but pretending to be innocent, trying to
cry out for forgiveness.

For me law in Korea is so unfair. Because the accused man is easy making story that He is not remember
everything He do because he drunk at that time. Sentence for 12 years is not enough to punish the man
who caused the disability of So-Won.
a-alice(2018) also said the man who committed the crime, with only one sentence saying, "I do not
remember anything," he was sentenced to 12 years in prison.12 years? too light for a big crime.Laws in
some cases can not protect the absolute, so how do we protect ourselves and our loved ones?

Acceptance is the key to forget of what happened before. No matter how is big our problem their is a
chance in our life to overcome those tragedies. Q

I adore this movie for all the brave choices they choose to do. Now this is most definitely not a
movie you sit down and watch a Saturday night. You need to be prepared for the aftermaths. The thing
that effect you most is the fact that this movie is based on a real story. It is based of the Nayoung case.
The case is about an 8 year old girl who was sexually abused by an ex-convict. Just like the movie
depicts, the girl was on her way to school when she was raped, beaten and left to die on a public toilet.
The Nayoung case became a big deal in Korea because the offender only got 12 years of imprisonment
for the crime. Knowing that these things (and worse) really happend to a small girl is horrifying.
However, even if this movie is a hard watch, it is a nessicary one. I've never seen the subject tackled this
well before and it's definitely something people need to be made aware of. And even after talking about
all the horrible things in the story, the point of this movie after all is the hope it gives, hope about
getting better after terrible things happens, hope of become whole again and hope about change. A
change that will make culprits pay the price for assault. And hope that things like this will never happen
again!

A position paper on Continuing of the K-12 Program in Philippines

BY: Dona S. Vergonia

INTRODUCTION

The K-12 Program covers kindergarten and 12 years basic education on six years of primary
education, four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School to provide sufficient
time for mastery of concepts and skills, developed lifelong learners, and prepare graduate for tertiary
education, middle-level skills development, employment and entrepreneurship. This paper will agree in
continuing of the K-12 Program and will debunk the negative values of continuing the K-12 Program.

COUNTER ARGUMENT

It is the right supply program makes it easy to get the essentials year school or district needs.
And it provides more than 100 online high school courses designed to help students for their own path
and follow it to post high school success.

The program aims to uplift the quality of education in the Philippines in order for graduates to
be easily employed. The programs also aims to meet the standards required for professionals who
would want to work abroad. Most importantly, this system aims to fully enhance and develop.

DepEd is responsible for the K-12 basic education it exercise and exclusive control over public
schools and nominal regulation over public schools and it also enforces the national curriculum that
been put in place since 2013, CHED and TESDA on the other hand , are responsible for higher education;
CHED regulates the academically oriented universities and colleges while TESDA over sees the
development of technical and occasional institutions and programs in the country.

THE Government give us voucher Program enables Grade-10 competitors from public and private
Juniors High School(JHS) to enroll in a (1) private high school (2) PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES OR COLLEGE, (3)
state on local university or college or (4) technical vocational and which will offer the senior high school
program starting school year 2016-2017.

Through the voucher program, students and their families enable to exercise greater choice on
deciding Senior High School program that is most relevant to their needs and carrier goods-contains
amount will be subsidized by DepEd to private SHS to offset the cost of tuition.

MY ARGUMENT

ARGUMENT #1
K-12 Program these two additional years will equip learners with skills that will better prepare
them for the future, whether it be; employment, entrepreneurship, higher education and skills
development.

ARGUMENT #2

And Gearing up for the future (SHS). Senior High School is two years of specialized uppers in
doing education students may choose a specialization base on aptitude, interest and school capacity.
The choice of career track will define the content of the subjects a students will take in Grade-11 and
Grade-12. Senior high school subject fall under either the core curriculum on specific tracks. regardless
of circumstances.

ARGUMENT #3

In the Republic Act 7797 states that a school year may exceed two hundred and twenty school
days, and that it may only start classes between the first Monday of a June and last day of August. While
K-12 private Schools are free to date of opening of classes anytime they want as long as it is within the
prescribe period, K-12 public school have to follow stringiest school calendar carafted by DepEd

CONCLUSION

Continuing the K-12 program is a good plan of the Government to help students of long life
learning. And I agree to continue the K-12 program that it gives us more knowledge and understanding,
skills to improve our strength and learning. That’s why I encourage the people especially the students to
support the K-12 program that will be continued.

2013 Short Course Student Feedback

Final Report - February 2014

Ann Johns & Julie Nankervis

Course Coordination Team

Summary

During 2013 written feedback was again sought from students in the short course program. Thirty-two
courses participated, with 264 students providing feedback which represents 82% of the average
students attendance windows courses. As in previous years the feedback was very positive about the
running of the course and the benefits derived.

Students overwhelmingly rated their particular course as very enjoyable as a very enjoyable (93%).
Stimulating (93%), and strongly endorsed the tutor's providing a supportive and friendly atmosphere
(95%). The highly rated (93%) sessions as well-organized and of high-quality content, demonstrating the
professionalism of tutors.

There was less agreement about the course length, with a third indicating a preference for a longer
course to further explore the topic of consolidate the skills involved. However 64% thought that the
course length was "just right".

At a personal level, students benefited significantly from their participation in the course. The vast
majority of students (80%) nominated the knowledge gained in this subject area as the most important
outcome. Motivation/inspiration was also noted by just over half (58%) as a significant benefit, while a
farther 42% stated that they derived companionship from their course participation.

As such, we can conclude that the various short courses were enjoyable and well run along lines that
support learning from mature age students. The educational and social goals of the program appear to
have been met and provision of short courses is highly valued by members. Some suggestions where
made for extending the program in specific areas and about new topics or extending existing programs,
thereby providing guidance to the Course Coordination Team in further development of the program.
In acknowledging some limitation to the survey process, we recommend that an electronic survey be
implemented in 2014 which would enable greater comment by students, the inclusion of members who
have dropped out, and more efficient data entry, analysis and feedback to individual tutors.

RELIGION

In our time it is possible to observe several phenomena related to religion. Most of the time, there is a
huge rise in demand and craving for the religious. This wave is manifested in a variety of ways, from
New Age explosion, esoteric, alternative spiritually, or alternative to know spiritual movement within
the framework of institutionalized religions. In the heart of this phenomenon, shirley, there is a craving
for religious experience. Therefore, for his illumination and understanding is still the best study of the
Variety of the Religious Experience of William James. The century-old the book has not only lost its
validity but, despite all the changes, still one of the best interlocutors for the question of religious
experience. the second phenomenon is related to the growing religion of violence with a coloured
religion. On September 11, 2001, end the war in iraq , which began after the demolition of the New York
towers, where only external indicators of this intimidating union of religions and violence. Perhaps it
would be good to talk again about kierkegaard's fear and trembling and with the reality of real violence
that is fed with religious food , suggesting what constitutes a teleological suspense and ethical . In the
light of the comments that this text still makes . How to deal with Scripture , which undoubtedly praises
Abraham as the father of faith and describes his readiness to kill his son and burn for the sacrifice?
kierkegaard's thesis about the teleological suspense and the ethical , a God that can be man something
that is supposed to morality, comes from his rebellion against the Enlightenment that religion wanted to
squeeze into rational ethics. In order to save religion and demonstrate its importance, in order to save
the possibility of religion, Kierkegaard had to show the boundaries of ethics and the possibility of his
departure from a religious perspective. But as far as it is possible to understand kierkegaard and in his
texts, he finds that he does not allow anyone to make the same decision as Abraham and his gray
everyday life, yet the fact remains that Kierkegaard had to break the ethics in order to save the faith.

Perhaps it is not with Levinas to notice how the heart of the biblical story of Abraham to sacrifice lies in
the obedience of the Lord, that they lifted up his hand, and did not kill Isaac, that is sacrifice of man
should be replaced by an animal. Could it really be possible to stop the violence in the name of religion if
it were clearly revealed the in Abraham's obedience to the voice that sought the sacrifice and which he
considered to be Yahweh? Would it really contribute to the peace of mind if it were undoubtedly
determined that the Lord did not seek the sacrifice rather than a human deceit or a super page? Or
perhaps the outbreak may be biblical: that , obedience does not cease after the first hearing of the voice
? Is obedience to constant questioning what voice does it really say? Should it be heard even when the
hand on the victim is raised, that is , does not close his ears and eyes when he moves to the hill with the
intent of executing God's will?
