Timothy at 15 years old recently lost his father after battling with an illness for a year; prior to
Timothy becoming aware of his father’s illness that led to his death, he was an outgoing
teenager, who enjoyed football, SPSP video games and socializing with his friends. Timothy’s
mother Betty has observed that at home he has become withdrawn, he no longer shows interest
in socializing with his peers; she has tried to encourage him to do other activities outside of
staying at home in isolation, but he has shown no interest. At school Timothy's teacher have
noticed a significant difference in his personality; since the death of his father Ms. Winter (his
teacher) has noticed that he has become quite withdrawn, often avoiding interactions with his
classmates shying away from extracurricular activities something he used to enjoy tremendously.
Once a top performer in his grade, Timothy started failing tests, getting into frequent fights with
his peers, and not completing assignments on time; Ms. Winter is concerned that Timothy no
