Support for Samaveda Svara-s

The Kannada fonts GodaGr and VagishaGr, have support for Samaveda svara-s in addition to Taittiriya
svara-s. The fonts have been built with Graphite technology, as the Opentype support of Microsoft is
grossly inadequate at present to achieve the required placement and positioning. The fonts are usable in
Openoffice and Libreoffice suites.

Bhasha IME supports typing Samaveda svara-s in Extended Vedic Mode. To enter the Extended Vedic
Mode, turn the CAPS LOCK “on” in the Vedic Mode (simultaneous press of left and right shift keys)

The Samasvara-s occur high above the base chars. As a consequence they may appear clipped in the editor.
To remedy this in Openoffice, select the entire text (in the document), right click, click paragraph, switch
to tab “Indents and Spacing”, choose “Fixed” in “Line Spacing” combo, and set the value to “0.30”.

 Font Features
The font supports three features. These features are selectable from the font box by adding a feature tag
and value beside the font name. Eg. GodaGr:siz=1, GodaGr:spc=1, GodaGr:vrs=2

Features can be combined with ampersand (&). Eg. GodaGr:siz=1&spc=1&vrs=2

If no features values are specified, the font uses siz=1&spc=1&vrs=1 as default.
