Personal Assessment
1. So, tell me a little about yourself?

Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself in front of you. My name is
Hashma Khan. Starting from my academics, I have completed my Matric in ‘A’ grade from Citizen
Public School in General group. To continue my studies further, I got admission in SM Govt. Science
College in Commerce Group and this would be expected to complete at the end of the year 2014. I
have also done certification in English Speaking Course from British Council to further nourish my
interpersonal skills. I complete my graduation in BS-Finance from URDU university in 2017 and now
completing MS-HR from Sindh Madrassatul Islam University.
Apart from my academics, I am also a good skater and most often I spent my weekend playing
skateboarding with my friends.

2. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

• I never feel comfortable until I finish my work within deadlines.

3. Give me an example of when you showed initiative?

While working in my X-organization, I observed that my friend was not feeling well and she want
some rest. So, I ask her to take rest and will do your required task. On that day I work on late hours
just to give her relief. This was the initiate that I take.

4. Describe your Ideal Job.

After completing my MS in HR, will get work in different organization for at least 5 years just to gain
experience. Then I will go for my dream / ideal job to run my own NGO that help / educate people
who can’t Offord.

5. Define Success. Define Failure.

Success: I believe success is not measured by wealth, life style, knowledge or any other materialistic
things. I believe success is all about personal / mental satisfaction in any condition. Whether you
have it or not, just be thankful / kind / honest and happy with whatever you have.

Failure: Failure is a synonym of mistake that led to new way of thinking. Failure tell us what need to
do or don’t on next attempt.

6. What can you offer us?

As per my qualification / experience / is 100% match with your job requirements which is evidence
of being the right candidate. I will server my services to this company with honestly and sincerely.

7. What Motivates you to put forth your greatest effort?

Indeed, organization environment matters a lot where equal opportunities provided to every
employee. I think the challenging environment around me will motivate to perform better.

8. Tell me about a leadership role you have had. What make a good leader?

A leader is the one who always be there when their people want him. When I was studying BS-
Finance, we have a group project. Few of my groupmates are not performing well due to lack of
information. I provide support / guidance which enable them to perform well. The result, we were
the first to submit the project on time and got the first price as well.

9. Where do you want to be in 5 years? Ten years?

I would hope to grow with the responsibility I am offered and to develop my skills as far as I am able
or “I would expect to be in a management role by then.
Behavioral Question
1. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with someone whose personality was different from
yours.

As my personality is more talkative, one day while working I had to deal with the client who is very
shy and confused. When I try to ask any thing, his respond with only Yes / No. I insist to talk more so
I can identify his requirement. He come up with this quote “Speak when spoken to”. From this day
till now I only talk meaningful

2. Give me a time where you had to carry out a directive with which you did not agree.

My boss made a decision I really did not agree with and I told him so. I spent a lot of my time on that
project flaws in the decision pretty much every chance I got. He finally got tired of hearing me
complain about it and put me on a different project. Justification through proper arguments will
change the management decisions.

3. Tell me about your most successful presentation and what made it so.

everyone understood?

While meeting with our company’s director, he is willing to installed the server machine in our
office. I told him to installed this machine on parent company where the machine can be operated
24 x 7 because we don’t have proper backup system neither we’re capable to maintain this machine
in this office and he agreed on this.

5. Tell me about a time when there was a conflict in a job / lab / class project. How did you handle
it?

As we’re working on our final project of strategic management, one of our group mates is imposing
his thoughts to others just to show off. We (including our groupmates) resolve this by clear
communication with him.

6. Describe a time when you look a risk. What were the biggest challenges / problems you
encountered in college? How did you handle them?

I take risks because through planning and working smart, it's possible to reduce some of the risk.
While doing my BS-Finance I face problem in maintaining my CGPA. I request my teacher to help me
out, he guides me and I start studying according. The resulted, now I’m doing MS-HR and also part
time job.

7. Talk about a time when you had trouble getting along with a professor / team member/
Supervisor.

At last semester of my BS-Finance, I need to submit the final report. My supervisor is not that much
supported with regards to guidance of final project. We tried to reach him out but he is not
responding us. One day including all our class mates rush on his room asked for the extra time for
this project and I’m on the front line. Then he finally realizes and give extra time for the final project.
8. How are you conducting your job search and how will go about making your decisions?

Job hunting is very difficult process but due to professional site like LinkedIn where we can find the
right job. I always try to find an organization that provide me a career opportunity, polish my skills,
provide an environment where I can make decision and help my subordinates.

10. Describe a situation in which you used persuasion to successfully convince someone to see things
your way.

As I’m much aware about the finance because I had done my BS in finance. Now I’m studying the MS
in HR. One of my HR major student is saying that Finance has no scope / growth for an employee. I
told him about the importance for finance in any organization and he understand more when I
cleared him.

11. By providing examples, convince me that you can adapt to a wide variety of people, situation and
environments.

I 've shown my ability to adapt by successfully working in several very different occasions. For
example, I lived with a native family in KPK. I worked as a tour guy over there. I was responsible for
dealing with Karachi participants. And then I move to Karachi. Where I did it all well and had no
trouble adapting.

12. Give an example of a time in which you had to be relatively quick in coming to a decision.

I found a wallet on the bus once when I was younger. I opened it up to see if I could find the
person’s ID, and there was a 5,000pkr. I could have easily taken the money, but I decided to leave it
and put the wallet in the man’s mailbox. I’m sure he appreciated that I didn’t take the cash.

1. Why do you want to work for this organization?

I was downsized due to the company’s financial crisis. In spite of that I haven’t demoralized because
where there is a will there is a way. Further, I want to advance my career and get a position that allow
me to grow as a person and an employee.

2. What do you know about our organization?

I'm always ready to take on responsibility and feel this will come more quickly with a firm of this size. A
small firm also gives the chance to build closer working relationships with clients and colleagues and I've
found through my past work experience that this makes an organization more effective as well as more
satisfying to work in

3. What section (service or product) are you most interested in?

As my personality is extrovert. I am continually motivated by the challenge of selling something new.


Crafting a pitch and landing a new client is a satisfying process that never fails to excite me.
4. How do you feel about working in a structured environment? A non-structured environment?

Now adays, organization are being more on disciplined actions in which employee knows what to do.
This happens only in non-structured environment. Whereas, in structure environment employee work /
task are defined through documented or scheduled.

5. In what ways do you think you can contribute to our company?

By being focus on assigned task, helping others subordinated and creating a culture where people work
together and support each another.

6. How long do you expect to work here?

I would prefer to stay long-term, if possible. I like the flexible hours you offer, which would work well
with my other commitments, such as my studies (or children, family, etc.).

7. Are you willing to work over time?

I don't mind working overtime at all. I know during busy times people are expected to work more, and
I'm flexible with my hours so I won't have a problem.

8. Are you willing to go where company send you?

I love change and I'd definitely be willing to relocate.

9. What type of environment are you most comfortable with?

I really like working with people who are committed to getting things done and who are passionate
about their work.

10. Why do you think you might like to live in the community in which our company is located?

I think it is not so bad while being relocate to another site where the company located. Experience
learning sometime require migration.

11. Why Should I hire you?

There are two reasons I should be hired. First, my qualifications match your needs perfectly. Second, I'm
excited and passionate about this industry and will always give 100%.

12. What makes you the best person for this job?

I believe that my determination and willingness to work hard makes me the best candidate for this job. I
am always ready for challenges and never hesitate to work hard when needed.
Education and Experience
1. Describe your most rewarding accomplishment since you’ve started college.

While doing BS-Finance, we got an assignment for social awareness campaign related to burns patient.
We provide awareness to the people and also collected charity amount for burns patient. Alhumdulillah,
got 1st position in this assignment with highest amount of charity collection.

2. Tell me about the most satisfying job you ever held. The least?

I want job that provide me inner satisfaction. Learning and opportunity will come when you have mental
peace.

3. What kind of boss do you prefer?

Indeed, a good boss is better than a good company. I appreciate a work environment where supervisors
try to make personal connections with their employees

4. What frustrates you on your job?

Completely depends on situation, but with time and experience in industry I have learnt how to tackle
and combat with it and does not let it hamper my productivity at workplace.

5. How would a former supervisor describe your work?

My ex-boss calls me “A rabbit with lion teeth”. Hardworker / punctual / loyal and honest employee.

1. What are your long-range and short-range goals and objectives?

Long term Goal: I would like to become a director or higher. This might be a little ambitious, but I know
I'm smart, and I'm willing to work hard.

Short term Goal: I would hope to grow with the responsibility I am offered and to develop my skills as
far as I am able” or “I would expect to be in a management role by then.

4. What kind of challenges you’re looking for?


I thrive at the challenge of working on multiple projects concurrently. At my last job, I often
juggled up to three projects at a time, many with overlapping deadlines. I do some of my best work
when I am able to manage multiple tasks at once.

5. What do you think determines a person’s progress in a good company?

The value of their work, their knowledge, their learning skills, their sincerity, and their relationship with
their colleagues.

6. What are your ideas on salary?

My salary range is flexible. I would, of course, like to be compensated fairly according to my qualification
/ experience. However, I'm open to discussing specific numbers once we've discussed the details of the
position.

7. What personal characteristics are necessary for success in your field?

Along with confidence, having the necessary courage to make decisions and follow through
on your plans is essential for a successful career.

8. Do you prefer to work on your own or under supervisor?

Although I’m very valuable member of a team and welcome constructive criticism. I’m self-motivated, so
I prefer to work mostly on my own. I then gave an example of how I had been working solo in a project,
but received guidance from a supervisor and we were able to come to very favorable benefits to the
company.

Your enthusiasm and desire to start ASAP are more than apparent in this answer. While the hiring
manager might wish that you could start sooner, they’ll respect the fact that you’re loyal to your current
employer.

Anything else about me? I’ve already mentioned how much I love wearing snapbacks and listening to
Phish? No, that’s pretty much my whole personality.
