BIOCHIP

BIO+CHIP

BIO stands for any biological entity like protein,

DNA etc.
CHIP stands for computer chip.
WHAT IS BIOCHIP?

It is a new type of computer logic bio security device

implanting in our body that can identify us uniquely
and can used to track our location. It’s life up to 99
years and no maintenance required.
WHERE IS INSERTED?

Size of chip is small, just like rice and injected under

the skin using a syringe needle.
In humans it is inserted in hands.
BIOCHIP TECHNOLOGY

BIOCHIP uses radio frequency identification system

that uses low frequency radio signals to
communicate between a biochip and reader.
There are two components
 The transponder
 The reader
THE TRANSPONDER
THE TRANSPONDER
Microchip
It stores a unique identification number from 10 to 15 digits long.
Antenna Coil
Receives and sends signals from the reader.
Capacitor
This is charged by the signal sent by the reader.
Glass Capsule
This is material of biocompatible such as soda lime glass.
THE READER

Reader activates the biochip through signals (radio

signals) and also receive code then decode the
received code and display the result in an LCD
player.
ADVANTAGES

 Helps to track human.

 Store financial, medical and different data about
human. Passport and medical records etc.
 Can detect cancer before symptoms develops.
 Can perform other factors such as blood pressure
and diabetes etc.
DISADVANTAGES
 They raise critical issues of personal privacy.
 They can be implanted into body without their
knowledge.

FUTURE
A chip implanted in human bodies might
serve as a combination of credit card,
passport, driving license etc.
